I'm in community college and I'm planning to transfer to a university. Problem is that I need to pack as many credits under my belt and take all these classes. ><

Ah... I don't understand the American tertiary education system. In Australia you go straight to university. And college's are places you can stay on campus....

Well community colleges serve to be build-up institutions. Places where people, who didn't so well in high school, can build up credits and grades (like a second chance) before getting into universities. Community colleges are also cheaper than university, so people who are low on money can go to it. Or people who aren't ready for university can go to college instead and then go to university.
Colleges are also opened to adults, those who are required to take certain classes so they can apply for jobs or get promotions or who have too many time and money on their hands.
*sigh* If only graduating and attending classes was simpler. -_-

TAFE stands for Tertiary, Adult and Further Education.
You can also repeat grade twelve there. A friend of mine's doing that. She went a bit off the rails last year.

Cool! Transferring out of state or going to another country to study in university sounds really appealing now. We've been suffering from all these cutbacks, it's not funny. >_>

*sad*
We have less state's here, so I guess it's more boring. I have a friend who's doing six months exchange in Manchester next year though.

What's it called and what does it specialize in?

University of Queensland. And...I don't know that we have a specialty. Ummm...Griffith is Arts, QUT is technology. Social sciences maybe? I know we're very good for law and psychology...
And we have a nice campus. That's why I'm there. XP.

What's the student body/how many people are there and what's the admission rate? I need to know all of these things and pray I picked the right classes. >< And how much does it cost? If I get there, I won't be an Australian citizen so I bet the tuition would be crazy. :\ I'm thinking about doing anthropology, psychology, philosophy, literature, and English/writing.
