“A man's errors are his portals of discovery.” James Joyce
(I have other knowledge quotes in the bin, but I don't think I have one by James Joyce yet. XP)

“Difficulties are opportunities to better things; they are stepping stones to greater experience. Perhaps someday you will be thankful for some temporary failure in a particular direction. When one door closes, another always opens.”
(Funny. This thought kept recurring to me throughout this semester. ^.^; No I don't think it is a milestone moment, but I was never able to express it so aptly.)

“Never rely on the glory of the morning nor the smiles of your mother-in-law.” Japanese Proverb
(No offense to anyone out there. I decided to post this quote because it reminded me of what I have been hearing for the last 22 years. Not that all mother-in-laws and daughter-in-laws don't get along. =P Those I know have their moments. They do appreciate each other in their own ways, I guess. It's always warm and fuzzy hearing how they come to terms with it.)

“A happy woman is one who has no cares at all; a cheerful woman is one who has cares but doesn't let them get her down.” Beverly Sills
(I'm reminded of someone I met this semester. She's not the first, but I never gave this much thought till now. Yup, I'm thinking of a classmate of mine. I wonder what happened to her. We lost touch years ago. Her cheerfulness attracts people to her. She has her ups and downs, but they seldom get in the way. I believe that's inner strength. I might be wrong. *still toying with the concept*)

“I like writing better. Because I don't have to wear makeup, I don't have to be thin, and I don't have to remember lines.” Fran Drescher
(I wonder how much longer this will be true. I love the colors that I can find on the palettes but I haven't move beyond that yet. Don't get me wrong. I can sit and watch my friends apply makeup for hours even though I refuse to let them approach me with the brush. Watching seems more interesting than using it. I know I have to eventually... the transition isn't going to be easy.)

“Nobody knows it, but you've got a secret smile, and you use it only for me.”
(So weird. This quote pop up when my friend and I were talking about drama. Thai drama. I feel like rofling at the moment. Yeah... I watch soaps. I don't care if I get sudsy in the process. Drama makes things a little more interesting somehow. Iffy about the lovey dovey parts. But... a good ending is always welcomed. o.O Still 300 episodes is a long time for a good ending!)

“Don’t talk to me about Valentine’s Day. At my age an affair of the heart is a bypass!” Joan Rivers
(Sorry for the ageist sentiment. Lol... trying to get at an old muse of mine. She's as cantankerous as they make them.)
