Believe it or not, I spend an interminable amount of time coming up with the summaries of my stories (for the most part) in comparison to writing my actual stories. You can almost say its the same for my muses- I love coming up with the character write-up and build a bazillion of them... but they don't all last, sadly enough...
Anyways, these are summaries of stories I'm writing/have written some of/completed/thought of writing... I think you get the drift...
(Talking exclusively fanfiction)
My ideas for writing fanfiction actually started in the DBZ realm (Dragonball Z). I happen to like it, though I know there are a lot of people who don't enjoy that old anime. Um... if you don't know what it is... well... ignore these next summaries... [skip the remainder of this post] (These stories were never posted on my fanfiction)
1-
Quiet Footsteps:Not long after the Cell Games, Gohan suffers through an illness which leaves him deaf. Struggling to figure himself out, stay on top of school, help raise his younger brother, and keep his new condition a secret from his Mom and the rest of the z- fighters, these are Gohan's adventures.
(Yeah... never said the summaries were any good... you'll notice that most [all] my DBZ ideas are Gohan-centric. Just a warning...
)
2-
Forbidden Friendship (This one has a REALLY long summary):
The saiyajins/saiyans come to earth when Gohan is four and enslave the world for their own purposes including Gohan because of his half-breed status. Videl, also about four, and Gohan find themselves in the same jail cell where they overcome their racial differences and become best of friends in the span of eight long years.
When finally free of saiyajin rule, the humans capture and enslave the remaining saiyajins and amongst the imprisoned is Gohan, taken by ignorant people. Basically tortured for two years contained away from society, an outcast even among 'his own' race, Gohan takes the time to try to train not only his brain but his physical prowess in case the need ever presented itself.
Now, during a slave auction, the first year of doing so since regaining their own freedoms, Videl, not a firm believer in slavery but a firm supporter of law and order, sees Gohan for the first time in years being bid off...and not to what looks like forgiving bidders. Realizing he might be injured or violated because of what he was known as to society, Videl outbids everyone with some of her father's “hero” money for supposedly leading the overthrowing of the saiyajins. Reunited, what happens next? Not necessary a romance, this story is about their adventures, struggles, and unwavering friendship in a culturally discriminating world.
(Um... I can't remember what I was going to do with this one exactly...)
3-
Dimensional Dilema (This one contains OCs):
Gohan is thirteen when an odd turn of events in a lab experiment sends him hurtling through dimensions to a world he doesn't exist with no way back. Unsure of what to do, he wanders alone for awhile until by chance he meets Goki, fondly known as his cross-dimensional half brother, same father , different mother, with a twin sister named Kuchi. Both with their own struggles they are trying to push through, they offer one another someone to confide in and create a bond so strong not even time itself could keep them apart. But what will happen when the z-fighters and Goku of this new dimension meet Gohan by another chance encounter? Will Gohan ever find a way back to his own dimension? Would he even want to return to his old life?
(Scratch that, they're all REALLY LONG summaries...)
4-
Gohan Satan (Never really had a good title for this one...):
Tragedy befalls at the cell games as one event after another leads to the unfortunate demise of all the z-fighters but one: Gohan Son. Emotionally distraught, Mr Satan, knowing the truth behind the crying boy in the desert, decides to take him in as his own in hopes that he could somehow save the world's hero from his trauma-induced inner conflict.
5-
Education: Gold (I had a clear idea on this one... at one point... Later, I noticed someone else beat me to posting with a similar idea in the DBZ fandom... *sighs*):
Gohan attends high school in his super-saiyajin form under the alias of Hango Moon (His first name is an anagram, second the exact opposite of "Son" his real last name) so he can better protect his family's privacy and not have to worry about hiding his powers since everyone acknowledges him as the delivery boy of the cell games-someone strong who can do light tricks, but not someone as strong as Mr Satan, of course- How will this new perspective affect his high school experience and the relationships he makes with other students, teachers, or Satan city locals?
6-
Saiyaman Watch (Honestly, have you noticed that they are all Gohan-centric fics yet? ^_^):
Gohan as Saiyaman arrives at what appears to be an everyday crime scene to save the day. However, the group of criminals prove to be more than even Gohan can handle when they use a mysterious piece of technology successfully against him. The technology, resemblant to a gun, of which would usually be harmless to Gohan anyways, shot some sort of odd blue light which engulfed his entire being and transformed him into a... watch? Videl, watching shocked, manages to catch the last moments of the transformation, then somehow knocks the gun out of the shooter's hand and chase away the other men... but not before one of them destroys the gun so it cannot be examined.
The police arrive to the scene just barely after- and inform Videl, imploring for her help, to aid in a “missing persons” case. Not much information is known about the case except that the most common victims are people not as well known, the rest being just any ordinary person walking around... Soon, the police decide to investigate further on the current crime scene and while they are distracted, Videl quietly sneaks over to the place she last saw Saiyaman and picks up... a watch. She soon realizes that the watch is, in fact, saiyaman and not just any ordinary watch, with digital numbers which can form block letter sentences and do other “watchy” things (beeping, ticking, clicking, slight squeezing from band part, activating stop-watch and other such abilities etc...) [which annoy the crap out of her] at the whim of saiyaman. Currently, she has “saiyaman” wrapped around her wrist (so her hands are free) and is trying to figure things out as she heads for school.
(Gotta Love Randomness...)
7- HARA (Human-Alien Research Association) [REALLY LONG summary...er... description]:
People are always more than a little curious about things that they don't understand. With the discovery of alien existence around the time of the Bojack tournament held by Mr. Satan, a group of scientists went crazy searching, capturing, and researching the possibilities alien anatomy, technology, or philosophies could have in the advancement of human development. These people became known as HARA; the Human-Alien Research Association. They stopped at nothing to get the information they needed and treated the aliens they captured little better than someone would treat an animal. They contained them with special technology and advanced facilities which shocked them and drained their energy down to normal, controllable levels. Not a nice place to live...
Soon, Videl's class was elected to participate in a research project; they were to take some of the lesser known aliens and observe their social behaviors for possible links to human cultural improvement/enrichment or search for signs of physical abilities which could be harnessed for humanity's benefit. Unfortunately, Gohan, half-saiyajin boy wonder, was captured two years prior and became part of this alien-student exchange. Now a young teenager, what will happen...?
Um, so I think I had more, but those are all the main ones... which, unfortunately, I'll probably never post. If any of you are DBZ fans (not likely), I think there is enough detail in these *cough* "summaries" *cough* that you could probably easily build your own story around. (yes, you can use these! ^_^)
