Recently, myself and WriterApprentice got into a discussion on the subject of what might lie beyond the borders of Musehatten, the city that is encompassed by the "The City" board here in the Hidden Dimension. Surely there were other towns and cities in the realm?
Well, of course there are. I had once created one before becoming admin in the Muse Storyboards since I really didn't know where else to put it. It ended up becoming a little cluttered, as it is hard to encompass an entire town--or indeed a whole city--in one little thread. So that's where this comes in.
Have an idea for a city or town? PM me about it and I'll see what I can do about getting it set up for you as a sub-board here. You can also reply here with the basis for the idea, and I'll PM you to discuss it with you in greater detail.
You would be in charge of managing that sub-board, posting threads for locations throughout the town or city you have created. If you like, I can even password-protect the sub-board to give you time to get a few threads up, so no one starts posting before you're actually done working on it.
All that I really require is that you stay within the terms of Proboards--in other words, nothing X-rated, please. You might be in charge of the town, but that doesn't mean forum rules don't still apply to you. We've already gotten in trouble with Proboards once for having a designated area for our 18+ members, so just be careful what you post.
Each sub-board may also include a locked thread giving description on the city or town itself, and explaining how you would like your sub-board to work. For instance, I'll probably set up Ceran Meadows in a way so that when you leave one location and enter another, you switch to a different thread. Things won't get so cluttered and confused this way. How your own city or town works, however, is entirely up to you!
