[Gigi's POV]
“Alpha!”
Gigi twitched involuntarily as the Janx called out to the woman she happened to be trying to pick up. Today was her unlucky day! Why is it that the first interesting woman that entered her shop had to be someone Janx knows? Her sky blue eyes took in Alpha’s expression. There was still some hope. Apparently this Alpha seemed to share her irritation. The female pirate couldn’t help but snicker. She felt much happier already. At least someone felt the same way about Janx.
“Don’ worry. He can be a big help around.”
Gigi shrugged. “Most of the time he’s a pain.”
She followed Alpha around as the blonde browsed through the selection of chocolates. “What do you like? I have all kinds. Dark, milk, white…. Oh look! Try this. It’s me latest - a blend of my finest dark chocolate and white chocolate. A bit like marble, but way tastier.”
The pirates took down a tall glass jar and removed the lid. Inside were sticks of chocolate that look similar to sticks of marshmallow sold in most candy stores. Each stick was made out of three strands. Some were made of two strands of white chocolate and one strand of dark chocolate. The rest were made from two strands of dark chocolate and one strand of white. This was her simplest creations.
You can tell a lot about a person by their taste in chocolate, she believed. Personally, she preferred dark chocolate. Most of the young women she met preferred milk chocolate. Only a handful preferred white. And the few guys that came here, it was really hard to guess.

[Eva's POV]
Eva dropped to the ground. She was very unhappy. No matter which way she jumped, the wheel won’t turn. Frustrated, she kicked the door. Pain bloomed from her toes and spread quickly up her foot.
“Owie!” The girl exclaimed as she hopped around on one foot.
Tears blossomed in her eyes. This door was mean. She let go of her foot and limped towards it. She was going to teach it a lesson. The little girl smacked the door with both hands. She recoiled in shock. Her fingers were still tingling.
All around the city, the lights flickered. Then all of a sudden, everything was engulfed in darkness. A collective gasp can be heard. The only source of illumination came from the light filtering down from the surface of the lake. It was barely enough for most to see outlines of the buildings and muses around them.
“Marie?” Eva called.
“Aidan?”
The kidling never felt more alone, and very scared. This was worse than getting lost in the mall. Now she can’t see anyone too. The turtle didn’t seem that important anymore. All she wanted was a hug from her sister or brother.
“Marie?” Came her terrified yell.
