From the outside it's all sunshine and light and even once you get inside it's deceptively comfortable. Everything's expensive and tasteful and just slightly too cool to belong to your regular, nine to five worker. There's a music studio downstairs and the karaoke equipment over there looks seriously hi-tech. But don't be deceived. This place is just as dark and dangerous as the rest of the muses realm. Don't get too friendly with anyone you see, don't bring up food, don't touch anyone's shoe collection and whatever you do don't, under any circumstances-

Blaze stumbled through the door and looked around in confusion. "Wassthis?" Emerald eyes blinked in an attempt to rid himself of the blurry vision. A bushy red tail swished from side to side as the tall man stumbled further in to the room, holding on to anything he could reach for support.
His furry ears swivelled around when he thought he heard something and he froze in place, his tail getting even bushier. When nothing happened, he slowly turned his head and then the rest of his body, only to have his angelic white wings catch on the wall. This threw him off-balance and he landed on his side with a heavy thud. “………Ow.” He sat up slowly and rubbed his tender tail as he looked at his wings over his shoulders. “Riiight……I had those things……Never drinking again.” He slowly climbed to his feet and shook his head, trying to rid himself of the numb feeling that seeped through his body.
He stumbled to the couch and flopped down, pulling out a large silver flask. “Well, after this one.” He flipped the acorn-shaped cap off of the bottle and took a long swig. He sighed as the liquid slid down his throat and he stared at his reflection. Emerald green eyes, blinked back at a man in his late teens with a slightly feminine face, red furred pointy ears, and a long tail with busy red fur, which rose up from his waistline and then back down when it reached his head. “Bloody acorns on a stick.”
He prepared to take another swig, when he suddenly realized something fairly important. “I’ve got no bloody clue where I am, do I?” He stood up and tried to take a few steps around the room, only to lose his balance and land on his face on the floor. “Oooooooh! So I’m on the floor! Shoulda known.”

[So I was totally going to wait for Dawn to post first, but Tommy is an utter bastard and I can't sleep. So...hi. *hides* xDawnie Yes I brought Tommy into this. Shut up. I just like mixing my vampires. 'tis fun, no?] Stop making the eyes at me, I'll stop making the eyes at you And what it is that surprises me is that I don't really want you to And your shoulders are frozen (cold as the night) Oh, but you're an explosion (you're dynamite)Tommy knocked on the door, surprised when it swung open at the touch. Adam was usually more cautious. Then again, while they were here, there were fewer rabid fans and homicidal homophobes. Just the occasional marauding sorcerer and, of course, your friendly neighbourhood vampire.
"Adam?" He called, slipping into the hall, creepers loud on the wooden floor. "Babyboy? You home?" Nothing. He crossed to peer up the stairs then opened the door down to the basement. "Earth to Lambert?" Still nothing. He looked around a little guiltily before trying, more quietly "Kurt? Damien?"
He frowned, crossing the main hall again, fingers trailing along the phone table as he peered down towards the living room. "Where the hell are you- what the fuck?" Taking in the guy on the floor Tommy blinked twice then shook his head. "This place just gets weirder and weirder." He informed the empty air. Well, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor I don't know if you're looking for romance or I don't know what you're looking for I said, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor

Blaze weakly lifted his head and stared blearily at the guy who had apparently walked in to the room. "Yer tellin' me mate. I was standing a second ago, and then the floor and ceiling decide to screw me and switch places. This place is haunted, says I." He flapped his wings harshly, which lifted his body in to the air. As he came back down, he quickly shifted himself so he could land on his feet again.
When he did, however, he lost his balance again and he stumbled in to the table. "Woah!" He waved his arms frantically as he fought for balance, before stabilizing himself with his tail. He finally turned his attention fully to other person in the room, head tilted to the right and ears twitching. "Who're you?" He glanced around for a bit and then pointed an unsteady, but accusing finger at Tommy. "And what in the name of the Sainted Chestnuts have you done with my tree?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yeah, it's plain to see that baby you're beautiful and there's nothing with you; It's me - I'm a freak but thanks for loving me 'cause you're doing it perfectly Adam dropped the pen on the table and stretched out his cramped fingers. In front of him lay a particularly difficult song - he couldn't seem to get the words to string together quite as well as he could before.
Sighing, he stretched, groaning when his back popped, and looked around. Briefly he wondered where Kurt and Damien were. He hadn't seen them in a couple of hours... Tilting his head, he checked the bond, then skirted his thoughts over theirs to ensure that they were safe. A smile slipped over his face when first Kurt then Damien noticed he was there. He blew them both a mental kiss before pulling back.
The rock-star got up and headed to the door of the sound-proofed room (he tended to turn the stereo on very loudly in whatever room he wanted to relax in, Leila knew... but in his current state, he tried to keep it down or it hurt his ears). Blinking in surprise at the voices that rang from below, Adam paused to listen for a moment before heading down the stairs silently, wondering who would have let themselves in without ringing him.
One voice was definitely Tommy, while the other...
"Who're you? And what in the name of the Sainted Chestnuts have you done with my tree?"
Adam paused at the doorway, leaning against it to look the stranger over. Fox-like, literally, with wings and a bushy tail he suddenly felt the urge to pull on. The tall half-animal creature was pretty, feminine, reminding Adam all too well of-
He shook his head to cut off his thoughts before saying, "I think that's my line. How did you get in?" He glanced at Tommy and gave him a mock-salute. "Should have told me you were here. Where's Zach?"------------------------------------------------------------------------

Stop making the eyes at me, I'll stop making the eyes at you And what it is that surprises me is that I don't really want you to And your shoulders are frozen (cold as the night) Oh, but you're an explosion (you're dynamite)Tommy looked up as Adam stopped on the stairs, grinning. "I tried to tell you rockstar." He pointed out. "You and your boys. Starting to think you'd all gone deaf on me." He skipped up the stairs to retrieve a hug from Adam, ignoring the faintest frisson of tension that went through the air at the mention of Zach's name. "Parking. I just came over to get my guitar." He turned and nodded back towards the living room. "And found this guy."
He took a moment to study the stranger, now that he'd established that his friends hadn't been murdered by the weirdo or anything. The wings were less distracting than the tail. Unless that was just familiarity. Tommy shook his head. Who ever thought he'd get used to people around him having wings. He blamed Adam. He leant on the stair railing, still studying the stranger. Well, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor I don't know if you're looking for romance or I don't know what you're looking for I said, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor

"Not my tree?" Blaze looked around again, before his ears and wings drooped and he sighed. "Riiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiight, been dead for 60 years. Guess the tree is gone."
He looked at the other two in the room and nervously scratched himself behind his ear. "Eh, sorry about-wait." He stopped and raised an eyebrow when he noticed the slight slur that had accompanied his speech before had disappeared. "Aw, shit....I'm sobering up." He reached for his flask and prepared to drink himself in to a stupor again, only to find that the flask was in fact empty.
He stared at his source of joy on the mortal plane in silence, before he sank to his knees and threw his hands up to the sky. "WHY?! Why, I ask you! What does this accomplish? First you kick me out and now there's no booze?!" He remained in that position for a few seconds, almost as if awaiting an answer from the ceiling.
When, unsurprisingly, no answer came, the look of horror on his face turned to on of gruding acceptance and he lowered his arms. "Fine!" He turned to the people who's house he had apparently invaded and waved. "Hi, my name is Blaze. Now if you'll excuse me, to the depression mobile!"
White light rose up around him and Blaze slowly sank away in to the floor, as if it had suddenly turned in to a thick liquid. "Danananana, Batma-eh, I mean Depression!" When he'd fully slipped under the floor, the light faded and the floor became solid again. "To booze, and beyond!" His voice echoed through the now empty room, followed a few seconds later by a cry of pain. "Ow! My tail!" In the point where Blaze had sank in to the floor, only the tip of his tail could still be seen.
The bushy tip struggled back and forth a bit, accompanied by loud curses coming from below the floorboards, but remained stuck in place. Finally, the tail stopped moving and Blaze sighed. "Well, thank god I don't eat much." Another moment of silence was soon followed by the bane of all humanity. "!00 bottles of beer on the wall, 100 bottles of beer! Take one down, pass it around, 99 bottles of beer on the wall!"
(I'll be leaving for Ireland for about 10 days so I figureed I should get him out of the way, sorta. See you guys later.)

Something has changed within me Something is not the same I'm through with playing by the rules Of someone else's gameKurt's fitful sleep was disturbed by the singing, echoing up through the floorboards. The dreams were back in full force and it was almost a relief to be dragged into consciousness. The world retained a strange, surreal quality though, sleep clinging like cobwebs on his skin and the familiar lyrics echoing off his skull as he swung his legs off the bed.
Rubbing idly at the marks that his jeans left on his skin (they make terrible bedclothes) he followed the bond out of the room, wandering to the top of the stairs in search of Adam. There was no real thought involved in the decision. He was awake, the next step was to find Adam, then they could move on from there. Still fuzzy with sleep he didn't question it, sometimes fighting got too hard.
He stopped at the top of the stairs, a wave of conflicting emotions washing over him as he took in the scene below.
Adam was on the landing, one arm slung casually around Tommy's waist while the guitarists fingers were knotted together behind his neck. It looked comfortable, casual, normal. He took a deep breath, trying to ignore the pull to do something stupid, anything to get Adam's attention back on him. One he'd forced that thought away Tommy's proximity hit him and a fine shiver raced over his skin. Ignoring that as well, he cleared his throat, keeping his voice soft, tone neutral, eyes locked on Adam.
"Hey. What's going on?" So if you care to find me Look to the western sky! As someone told me lately: "Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!"

"C'mon, one date." A teasing voice drifted in through the door, just before someone kicked it open. "Angel I swear to my master." The woman who had kicked the door open stalked in to the room and glared at the occupants. ".....Hi." She had long, layered dark red hair a heart-shaped face and chocolate brown eyes that had been narrowed in frustration. In her hair, she wore several identical pins all in the shape of a hissing silver snake with green eyes. Her outfit consisted of a low- cut white top, tight white jeans that showed off her long legs and white leather sandals which very small wings attached to the sides for some reason. Oddly, the top had small shoulder pads with two golden stripes running across them, giving the top a slight resemblance to military uniforms. Albeit far less conservative. Two rosaries dangled from her neck, one resting just above her cleavage and one hidden within it.
The most remarkable thing though, would be the fact that this woman literally glowed. A gentle light seemed to be constantly emitted from her which cast trembling shadows around her and let the decorations in her hair glitter brightly. It also highlighted the embarrassed blush on her face quite nicely.
At the sound of the woman’s greeting, Blaze had made a sound that bore a distinct resemblance to ‘Meep!’ and he had promptly stopped singing. The visible tip of his tail now quivered nervously where it was stuck in the floor.
He was saved from detection though, when someone else stomped in to the room, drawing the woman’s attention away from him. ‘Dunno who these people living here are, but they need to get a new lock…….or more of them…………or a gun………..screw it, let them just mail order a rabid penguin while they’re at it. Not that Rose won’t tear it to pieces, but at least it’ll give her rabies…………wait, aw crap! Then she’d be a rabid insane twit chasing me, as opposed to just being an insane twit……I just can’t get a break.’ He tugged on his tail in yet another futile attempt at getting it free and was, once again, reward with a sharp stab of pain. ’See? No break……God I hope they haven’t really mail-ordered that penguin.’ He sighed and gave up, returning to his previous task, getting the canteen with that wonderful liquid that had gotten him through his exile so far. Sadly, he had dropped it just out of reach. “Must……..Reach…….Need………Liquid Wonder….” He whispered to himself as his fingers scratched at the dust less than a inch away from the flask. It sat there, silently mocking him and laughing at his misfortune.
Unlike the spider next to him, who was laughing his ass off and holding his stomach with 4 of its 8 legs as it watched Blaze struggle to either get free, or to just reach his booze.
The person who’d walked in to the room was a man in his early twenties, carrying a total of seven blades on his back. He was a little shorter than the woman, but he made up for it with broad shoulders and a strong build. He had a handsome face, aside from the thin scar that ran above his right eye on his forehead, with eyes that almost seemed to be golden and raven-black hair. He kept his hair swept back until it reached the back of his head, where it fell down straight until it reached his shoulders. A wide and jagged scar ran over his throat and disappeared down to his chest under his shirt.
This shirt was as black as his hair, aside from the bottom where an image of silver flames was printed, and he wore it under an opened white blazer. The blades on his back all had handles that differed in colour and sometimes design, but the most notable one was an absolutely massive sword that looked to have a blade almost as long and wide as the body of its wielder. The man wore a smug smile as he looked to the woman next to him and he raised a hand to play with the necklace of wooden beads around his neck. “Didn’t hear a no in there. C’mon Rosaly, just to see if you like it.”
The woman groaned audibly as her blush intensified and poked the man in the chest with a long finger. “Listen here playboy. If you don’t shut the fu-“ Her mouth clamped shut as she realized just why she was down here and that there were still other people looking at her. She bit back a growl when she saw the man’s smug smile grow and with a “Go to hell Angel.” Muttered under her breath, she turned around to the other people in the room. Gathering all her patience, she looked up and put on a smile so sweet she could feel her teeth starting to rot. “Excuse me. How very pleasant to make you’re acquaintance. My name is Rosaly.” She curtsied, mentally kicking herself for having to curtsy at all, and searched for the rules of etiquette she had been taught and then promptly forgotten about. “I am looking for an escaped creature that should be…………eh…….kil-no…….” She desperately struggled for words, and when she found none she swallowed her pride and glanced over her shoulder at Angel.
“Help me out here mortal.”
“Will it get me that date?”
“Up! yours!” She mouthed the words, frantically hoping Angel was that only one who could see.
“Then save yourself.” Angel had to prevent himself from breaking down and rolling on the floor with laughter as Rosaly glared at him, desperately wishing she was allowed to murder him. A look of revulsion briefly crossed her face as she realized she had to return to her task of being polite while getting information. ‘I don’t care if we’re holy beings! Information is given faster at the point of a sword. It’s a scientifically proven fact!’ She plastered the smile back on to her face and turned back around to continue where she had left off. “The creature has to be……reprimanded for his……………..Screw! This!” There was a black flash of light and something appeared in her hand, which she then chucked at the stairs.
The object passed between Tommy’s and Adam’s heads and collided with the wall with a metallic clang. Now that it was no longer in motion, it was clear to see that the object had been a throwing dagger, fashioned in to the shape of a cross. ‘Or a cross sharpened to make a makeshift dagger.’ Angel mused as he watched the weapon quiver in the wall. ‘Could go either way with her really. Nice throw though.’ His attention then shifted from the dagger to what it was pinning to the wall, as Rosaly raised an arm and pointed at it. “Listen up you morons! I’m looking for this guy. If you’ve seen him, please hand him over so I can finally go home!” Angel tilted his head to the side and studied the piece of paper pinned to the wall. It was a fairly accurate sketch of Blaze, although he probably wasn’t wearing the white robes he was wearing in the picture anymore.
He glanced at Rosaly to see her scanning the room, shaking with frustration. “Rose….” She spun to face him and snarled. “Shut. Up. Mortal.” Angel only crossed his arms and shook his head. “Rose calm down.”
“No.” She was still glaring at him, but some of the menace had gone out of it and now it seemed more like a pout. “He was supposed to be here. I felt him. I was so bloody close.” Angel quickly decided to tune out as the red-headed woman began ranting as she walked in circles through the room. ‘Angel…….this is what happens when you start trying to date law enforcers that fall from the sky……Let’s keep doing it.’

[ HOLY CRAP WAVES ] ------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yeah, it's plain to see that baby you're beautiful and there's nothing with you; It's me - I'm a freak but thanks for loving me 'cause you're doing it perfectly Adam looked up at Kurt as he stepped down the stairs, a smile slipping onto his face. "Hey there, love," he said as he let Tommy go and stepped back, inviting Kurt to come and join him. "Nothing much... kind of." As he glanced towards where the funny man had been standing, he shifted away from Tommy (wanting Kurt close, safe from Tommy, who'll take him-).
His thoughts were cut off by the sound of the door flying open. Instinctively he pulled Kurt behind him, a soft snarl of warning escaping before he could stop himself. Damn. He had to get better control of himself before he... hurt... someone... Wanting to hold, wanting to hurt and maim and pin him down and force him to remember who he belongs to before he goes off with Tommy, and then hold him and fix him and bleed him out-
Adam squeezed his eyes closed, counting to ten, forcing the vampire into the back of his head. Its thoughts were dark and threatened to take him over - something he doesn't want (wouldn't be able to handle). He forced himself to relax. Focussed on the words of the girl in white. Reply.
Simple commands he could follow.
"The funny, feminine male furry with wings?" he asked, eyes darting briefly to where the furry had sank under the boards. Briefly he wondered if Damien was down there, and there was a flash of dark in his head that told him thinking about said furry near Damien is a bad idea. I had no idea furries even existed - but then again, I didn't realize vampires existed, either, he thought sourly, a slight frown touching his lips. He glanced at the other man with the many swords and blinked a little. Why does he have to have so many- fuck. The vampire rose again, demanding he disarm, demanding to pull Kurt close and not let him go ever-
Shut up, he told it, shoving it back (it's harder to hold it back now).
"He's under the floorboards," Adam said aloud, eyes fixing themselves on the tip of a twitching tail. Something not quite the vampire rose, and he had the sudden urge to bat at the twitching thing with his hand. Suppressing a smile, he looked up when another figure entered.
"I had no idea you were having a party," Zach said mildly as he crossed the room (skirting both Adam and Kurt, even as he shot Kurt a half-smile) to stand at Tommy's side. He barely missed the tail with the heel of his foot. "If you had said I wouldn't have come." He glanced a touch warily at the strange man and woman, gaze lingering on the swords (probably already figuring out in his head the best way to disarm and hold the man down if he should attack). Stop making the eyes at me, I'll stop making the eyes at you And what it is that surprises me is that I don't really want you to And your shoulders are frozen (cold as the night) Oh, but you're an explosion (you're dynamite)Tommy looked up, relaxing as Zach slipped to his side. It wasn't a tangible easing of muscles or some corny fist around his heart letting go a little. There was just a moment where it was easier to breathe and his thoughts sped up, like they'd been running at half-speed without his even noticing. Somewhat reassured he turned his attention back to the strangers, fighting the urge to move between them and Zach. His vampire might not want to believe it but Zach was perfectly capable of protecting himself. Except from me... He cut the thought off and cleared his throat.
"Adam, why do all the weirdos end up at your place?" He grinned cheekily and leaned subtly (he hoped it was subtle) back into Zach, forcing him to back up a step or two away from the strangers. His fingers twitched and he had to consciously still them. Just because he'd started carrying a gun again didn't mean he had to use it every time someone threw a knife at him. He'd run out of bullets very quickly if he did. Well, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor I don't know if you're looking for romance or I don't know what you're looking for I said, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor

(Holy Crap what? Yeah, the post sucked, but that isn’t that shocking is it? On a totally different note: I need a new screenname. –Pesters naming muse-)
“Oy.” Angel warned. There was a small smile on his face and his stance was loose and relaxed, but his voice had taken a slightly lower tone and his eyes no longer roamed the room. Instead, they shot from Tommy’s twitching fingers to Zach’s eyes that were still studying his blades. “I know this isn’t the best introduction, but we’re not looking for trouble.” He shifted his balance slightly and one hand drifted towards one of his blades, the handle of which peeked past his right hip. “Well, we won’t be the ones to start it anyway.”
He let his words hang in the air for a few seconds, his fingers lightly brushing over the leather binding of the blade’s handle in that time. A warning flashed in his eyes for half a second, before it was replaced once again with the calm humour that accompanied the small smile that still played on his lips. ‘Touch the swords and you’ll lose a hand.’ Slowly, Angel shifted his balance back and his hand drifted away from his blade again. He crossed his arms and watched Rose from the corner of his eyes. Every now and then his eyes would flit to Zach and Tommy and then back to Rose, his attention never quite leaving them and his back muscles tensing every time his eyes landed on them.
Rose had visibly perked up when she’d heard the location of her target and she now stood over the tip of Blaze’s tail with a smirk that could only be described as menacing. The light coming from her had grown brighter, casting sharper shadows and making it seem as if the silver snakes in her hair were actually moving. “Hello, Blaze.” Her tongue darted out to wet her lips, showing that it was long and forked like a snake’s at the tip, but it had the width of a human tongue. Not to mention that it was as black as pure onyx, which highlighted the piercing with a small ruby in her tongue quite nicely.
Her smirk turned to a toothy grin as she watched the tip of the tail freeze and then turn bushy in fear at her words. She had the little bastard. Finally, after all this bloody time. He was her slipperiest prey yet, when he should have been the easiest one. This had been her longest hunt ever and she’d make sure he would pay for it. Oh yes, he would pay her back. Maybe she would be allowed to administer the punishment herself? It would be fitting. The others were sure to laugh at her, as they had laughed at her partner when she’d carried him back. She’d get even for both of them, even if her honour was less damaged that her partner’s. Oh, yes, Blaze would pay what he owed and more.
She muttered something in a strange language, an ancient one with rolling r’s and throaty words, and strange markings appeared on her face below her eyes. The markings were crimson and made up out of two thin stripes, running down from the corners of her eyes to her jawline, as if she had been crying bloody tears. White light burst from her hands and she plunged her right hand in to the floor, the solid substance rippling like the water of a pond as her hand broke through.
A loud yelp could be heard as she grasped Blaze’s tail and she yanked him up harshly. He burst through in a flurry of white feathers and immediately tried to make a break for the door. He ran on all fours, while he used his wings for extra propulsion. Sadly, this plan failed as Rose yanked harshly on his tail again and pulled him back. Blaze was pulled back and landed on his ass at her feet, whimpering softly while Rose chuckled cruelly under her breath.
Angel rose an eyebrow at his female companion’s behaviour and, more importantly at the behaviour of the creature she currently had by the bal-eh, by the tail. This was the ‘Offender’ she had been chasing? The creature seemed……harmless. ‘So does your sister.’ A small voice at the back of his mind told him, mockingly. He shuddered and conceded the point. Still, most wanted criminals didn’t whimper like this one was doing. Well…..unless you rammed a blade up their ass, but he had yet to meet someone who did not make some sound of pain and indignation at getting a blade shoved there.
‘Most known criminals don’t have wings and a fox’s ears and tail either. Do you wanna try to get him an acquittal based on whimpering and an unnatural anatomy?’ The voice argued again.
‘How about you shut up and just let me think he looks harmless?’
‘Sure, say I do that. Then the next time you think someone is ‘harmless’, you’ll drop your guard around them and they’ll take your bloody head off. How’s that sound?’
‘I can look out for myself, thank you. I don’t carry these things around as a fitness exercise.”
‘……………’
‘Not JUST as a fitness exercise. Has anyone ever told you that you’re a major prick?’
‘You’ve been told you’re a prick repeatedly. Mostly by ex-girlfriends. I thought you’d have gotten the hint by now.’ The voice was smug now, and it was seriously pissing Angel off.
‘I asked if anyone told YOU.’
‘Yes and, as I am part of you, that means you asked yourself if anyone had ever told you that you were a major prick and you yourself responded to this question that was asked by you. Confused yet? I must be the part of you that got the brains.’
‘By now I wish this guy would turn out not to be so harmless and cut my head off. At least then I wouldn’t have to listen to you anymore.’
“Good! You’re learning, I think.” Angel bit back an annoyed groan and rolled his eyes, before focussing on Rose again. The question of whether or not arguing with himself made him a schizo would have to wait till later. “Oy, Rose. This is your ‘Wanted Criminal’?”

------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm not always like this, it's something I've become A terrible weakness, in my nature, in my blood Save me, oh save me, save me from myself before I hurt somebody else again Zach stumbled back slightly, catching himself on the back of the chair as Tommy leaned into him. He steadied himself and wrapped both arms around the tiny blond, dropping his chin on top of his head. If there was a reason for his movement other than Tommy being lazy again, Zach didn't notice.
Not that he would have done anyway.
"Touch the swords and you'll lose a hand."
His eyes flickered warily over the many-bladed man once again, and when his hand came to rest on the handle of one, Zach's gaze sharpened with wariness, ready to flick his knives out to protect Tommy if he has to. He kept his body language neutral even as he adjusted himself (it's instinctual, automatic, born out of years of experience) to better push Tommy out of the way and fight if he absolutely has to. A waste of human lives - aren't we better off fighting the dead?
He caught himself and shook the thought quickly out of his head, glancing quickly at Tommy to make sure he hadn't heard. Then he cleared his throat. "Well you'll have to catch us first," Zach pointed out mildly to the man. Not to mention that some of us can actually fight back, even if we don't carry an arsenal around with us. Actually, he probably did - in addition to the knives strapped to his wrists, he has a longer dagger on the inside of his shirt and dark, heavy trousers, as well as the slim, dangerous slivers of metal meant for assassination kept carefully in his belt (he carried those out of habit, there's little use for those in this realm.
His sword he kept safely in the Charter, ready to be pulled if he had to use it. It's a nifty little spell, allows him to keep a few items at the time in apparently nothing.
"Well I hope you count yourself as one of them," Adam eventually broke the silence, speaking to Tommy, eyes running warily over the furry - and did Zach catch a touch of sympathy from his thoughts? He shook his head again; he's not allowed.
