Skipbeat
Gender: Mech (male in Cybertronian terms)
Age: Around 17,000 years or the equivalent of 17 in human years.
Race: Cybertronian/Transformer, Decepticon
Physical Appearance: How to describe a massive alien robot? Well I'll make this brief. He's not bulky since he's not built for direct combat, more on the slim build for agility reasons. His armor plating is mostly silver gray with neon green where his joints are. Red glowing optics because he's a Decepticon. He wears a headphone with a mic attached over his helm and audio receptors (located at the side of his head like ears). Originally, he stands at an impressive 15 feet. Since coming to the Muses' Realm, I've shrunken him down to six feet to make it easier for him to socialize with the other Muses.
His alt mode is that of a stylish, silver sports car with neon green racing stripes. His holo-form, or human form via hologram, is that of a teen with messy black hair with neon green highlights and crimson red eyes. He usually wears a grey sleeveless hoddie and navy blue jeans and white-black sneakers. The purple Decepticon emblem is tattooed on both of his bare shoulders of hi holo-form.
Personality: Jittery and paranoid is what to best describe Skipbeat. Not to an extreme though, enough that you can kind of tell he's weak of heart and will. When he sits, he'll be fidgeting and shaking his legs. Walking, his fingers will occasional twitch. When he talks, Skipbeat tends to do a lot of hand and arm motions and body language and movement. He also has a habit to stutter like a broken record player. Skipbeat is also a bit of a clean freak.
His paranoia is nothing severe like he'll jump at shadows or shoot people when they poke him from behind. Just paranoid like he won't open up to you at first, just very cautious, because he's afraid you're either an Autobot in disguise or working for them. He's a Decepticon of course. Overall, gaining Skipbeat's trust would require a lot of time and patience. And don't say the word 'Autobot' or else he'll be frightened and run or do something drastic. He seems to have a phobia of Autobots, possbily because of his nervousness and paranoia.
Likes: Earth music, he finds it fascinating and refreshing. Specifically, he prefers VOCALOID music as it sounds natural to him. Being a bit of a clean freak, Skipbeat enjoys cleaning and organizing. When in the mood, Skipbeat enjoys singing. Recently found out that he enjoys throwing skipping stones across water.
Dislikes: Autobots; but it's more of a fear than a hate for them. Dirtiness, or being dirty, drives Skipbeat crazy and fuels his nervousness. Being alone in a new environment frightens him. Making friends isn't needed but it helps calm Skipbeat if he knows there's company or someone with him he can rely on.
Abilities: Skipbeat has excellent hearing and can pick conversation miles away, even through walls, if he focuses. He is pretty proficient in hand-to-hand combat and using basic firearms. Given his frame type and size, Skipbeat is agile and fast in his alt-form and bipedal form. Skipbeat, despite his stuttering voice, can parrot the voices of other people or creatures.
History: Skipbeat's story begins with his creation date. He was sparked somewhat a few years past the peak of the Great War between the Autobots and Decepticons. At that time the Decepticon side began showing signs of losing foothold over the war. When he was sparked, he was, almost, immediately put into training with his peers. Because of his unusually sensitive and sharp hearing, he was easily frightened during his early years. Skipbeat, during his academy years, was very aggressive and spontaneous despite his small size. He would often fight against others in trying to, he claims, drown the noise. It seems his sensitive hearing, over time, has caused him to develop a small case of auditory hallucination. The medics helped treat his little problem by giving him his headphones. The headphones would play sequences of noises into his audio receptors and that apparently helped a lot by giving his unstable processor a distraction.
The Decepticon superiors saw potential in his sensitive hearing and enlisted him to study in communications and intelligence gathering. Along with communication, Skipbeat also trained in hand-to-hand combat and basic firearms. But by the time he passed in the academy, the Decepticon army had surrendered to the Autobots and driven out of Cybertron. Thus the rest of Skipbeat's life was living in the decrepit New Kaon, trying to avoid trouble with the gruff veterans and younger Decepticons. Basically, like with all the Decepticons, he had nothing to do but idly surviving the rest of his life cycle.
The idleness continued, even despite the shocking news of Megatron’s supposed termination. Then came the clarification that Megatron was still alive, things began to stir. With Megatron’s order for the Decepticons to rebel against the Autobots, Skipbeat helped relay the message to other Decepticons and joined a small party. Skipbeat and his teammates were assigned to location that was a distance away from Earth. During his time there, Skipbeat managed to pick up signals from Earth and was, for the first time, exposed to music. From there his love for the alien melody grew, VOCALOID music to be specific, as he found it to be more likeable and natural to his audio receptors. The uplifting beat gave his processor sanctuary and entertainment to pass the time when he and his teammates weren't engaging against Autobots.
How Skipbeat became my Muse and entered the Muses’ Realm would be thanks to a certain mishap. Skipbeat’s teammates decided to use his hearing to spy on the Autobots they were attacking before they assaulted them again. Things ran smoothly, at first, till a small blunder happened on Skipbeat's part. This resulted in him running for his life. Judging by the state I found him in… I would guess the Autobots launched a missile and it exploded near him, rendering him somewhat damaged and unconscious. Luckily I had managed to whisk him away to the Muses' Realm in the middle of the explosion and making the Autobots, the ones who were attacking him, think they had destroyed him. The Decepticons back in Skipbeat’s world think he’s dead, which is kind of sad, but Skipbeat would care less as he’s glad to be away from the Autobot-Decepticon conflict for once.
First time coming to the Realm, Skipbeat was faced with the problem of culture clash. That and he was probably the only Transformers Muse at that time. Life was hard for him and often filled with suspicion and surprise at every turn. Now, Skipbeat is much more comfortable in the Realm with the others and has befriended all sorts of Muses of different races. Skipbeat finds the Muses' Realm to be a haven from the conflict and sorrow of his homeworld.
Relationships
Zen: Skipbeat has taken a liking to the boy and, like Raymond, is protective over Zen and takes his well-being seriously. The Decepticon has found Zen's innocent nature strange, but joyful, to him. This probably stems from the fact that Skipbeat was raised in a harsh environment and so he cherishes the boy.
Enz: Although Skipbeat loves Zen, the same can not be said for his twin. The Decepticon finds Enz's nature to be infuriating, especially when Enz on purposely rearranges and dirties things to the despair of the Cybertronian. However, Skipbeat can still tolerate Enz because of Zen. Knowing that if he ever lashed out at Enz, it would probably reflect badly for him to Zen. That and the Decepticon respects the amount of love and protection Enz has for Zen.
Raymond: Likewise, Skipbeat finds the doctor fascinating. The two of them enjoy each other's company and share their lives and stories with one another. Ignorant on the basics of the human body, the Decepticon appreciates the knowledge and profession that Raymond has and enjoys the small classes and lessons the doctor offers to him. With Zen, the two of them are alike in a way that they care very much for the boy.
Marcus: From his experience in the Shadow World, Skipbeat is wary of the Shadow Man. He becomes even more worried when Zen spends time with Marcus and fears the worse. But Skipbeat knows that he should step back and watch how things unfold.
Delta: Having met Delta not too long ago in the Neon District, Skip has quickly befriended the G1 Cybertronian. Although their first encounter was a bit shaky and awkward, their friendship grew as time passed to the point that both of them consider each other to be like brothers. But despite that, Skipbeat is not ready to share his past with Delta, probably out of shame. Also, Skipbeat suspects that Delta maybe keeping secrets from him, something that does cause him to lose much sleep. But other than that, the two of them have formed a brotherly-bond.
