Rich is an interesting fellow, he has had a unusual life, and sadly not in a good way but he has come around some recently and is trying to put his painful past behind him.
Rich had as normal and happy of a life a boy could wish for the first seven and half years then then summer before he turned eight everything changed. He had gone to a friend from school's birthday party. The parents of the birthday child had hired a clown to entertain the children and all went well until the party was ending and the clown asked Rich to help him carry some balloons to his van. It was then that Rich's innocence was cruelly stolen, the clown got him into the van and was beginning to do things that never should be done to a child. If not for the the mother of the birthday child coming to pay the clown worse may have occurred. The clown was caught in the act and through Rich at the woman and took off in his van. He was caught and sent to prison.
While Rich wasn't harmed physically the damage to his mental health was great and over the next 11 years he was sent to what seemed to him an endless succession of doctors, Therapists and counselors with little success. The one he felt understood him was his paternal grandmother of whom he was her only grand child as his father was her only child.
Rich always felt she somehow truly knew what it felt to have gone through what he did. During Rich's 17th year his beloved grandmother died and left him her house, a well maintained Victorian with an exceptionally large garage that had once been a carriage house.
Rich felt totally lost at this point as he had lost the one person he could relate to and he tried to take his life and failed. It was not long after this he had been taken into a shadow game and made to face his greatest fear and to his surprise he was finally able to say what he was unable to so many who had tried to help him over the years.
Rich escaped the game and soon after found me and he now helps me by letting me know when he thinks something I have written sounds dumb or out of place, he also translates Emmy's speech.
Rich also has a passion for peanut butter cookies.
