I saw the telegraph and post office yesterday when we were driving back to the dorm. For awhile I did a double take. I remembered that my teacher mentioned something about the last telegram being sent off sometime ago, but I couldn't remember the exact details. It was the Western Union. They closed their service in 2006.
Interesting, I can still get telegrams from some places in the world. If I have the chance to do so, I'll give it a shot. Provided that it's within reasonable limits, of course. =D
What should I write? And to whom?

It's finally raining here. The weather is pretty cooler, but it is not too bad. Gloomy skies but that doesn't stop you from smiling. =) Keeping cheery probably prevent me from brooding over my flu.
Smile~!

Tired. Swimming two days in a row. Wonder if I can get up in time tomorrow. Not sure how the other family does it. They are always up so early in the morning.

My bro downloaded new iphone apps. The ocarina is nice, but the inception app is weird. Some of the dream modes give me a headache. The reverie dream was the weirdest. X.x my head feels heavy.

Nine days till the release of our results. Weird I'm not that bothered. Guess this is the last semester syndrome. I need one more Asian Studies module. Japanese Studies or South Asian Studies? South Asian is more interesting but twice as taxing. Or so I heard.

I love movie subtitles! Something from HP 7
Original context:
Remus: I wanted to make sure you were not an impostor
In the dvd
Remus: I wanted to make sure you were not in the pasta

Watched "Please Let Me In" with my uni friend today. Haha it's a horror movie with a happy ending. After that we went to the Esplanade, Merlion and then Marina Bay Sands. From the casino cum integrated resort, we walked all the way to City Hall Mrt. I wouldn't mind going back to the promenade again. The view is lovely in the evening. Wouldn't mind going to the Sky Garden at Marina Bay Sands next time round. O.o a garden in the sky! Want to see the pool too! Apparently you can see the city skyline while you swim!

Well it's back to normal. I hope. I have to find a new range. The last one I used to frequent closed down recently. =/ *fingers crossed* There ought to be one in the west. The east is too inconvenient.

Too little sleep and I feel like a sloth. Too much sleep and I am in a daze. Lol. Why can't I just live with too much sleep? I need to think and sleeping is the only way to do so. >.<;

Interesting. One of my friend is considering quitting facebook. =3 She's one of the few who are. Most of my friends are still addicted to it. I wonder whether more will quit in the future or it will continue increasing.

Chicago Tribunal - "Whatever" was voted the most annoying word of year in a Marist poll.
Funny what we can vote on nowadays. xP I still don't get the big deal behind opinion polls. Well, not all the time. I can see who would want to follow it religious, but...

I'm still shocked. Someone told me my usual indoor range is closing down. My coach just said that it wasn't. News travels fast. <.< It was only the outdoor range that has to be moved.
*relieved* There aren't that many ranges here. If this one closes down, I'll have to travel much further than I'd want to.

Should I really take up driving? I mean public is good enough. >.< I don't mind cycling. Honest! I can always learn if I'm desperate enough to consider taxi driving as an extra source of income. Erm...
I pity my passenger.
Rucran: GPS?
Basil: >.< Still... *likes using GPS but has a feeling she'll still get lost*
Rucran: -_-; And you still dream of owning your own motorbike.
Basil: o.O Motorbikes are more efficient.
Rucran: ...
The day you get a motorbike will be the day I start looking for another writer.
Basil: D: I'm not that reckless! *mutters about muses being hypocrites*

Honestly, I think saying goodbye is easy. ^.^;
Yet with the world being as connected as it is, I think that a sudden disappearance on facebook might not seem as remarkable as it used to. News travels fast, but it can be blind as well. Me thinks.
*wonders if anyone would noticed people suddenly disappearing on facebook* *remembers the news about the facebook killing* *deep in thought*
And what happens to the facebook profiles after someone dies? o.O Will they continue existing in cyberspace or will they get deleted by the host site after sometime?
Hmmmmm... an archive in cyberspace. x.X *wonders how long it can span*
Urgh... I shouldn't have watched the A.I. rerun. *goes to see when is Life After People showing*
