Okay guys, here's a basic on roleplaying for all the new members who might be having trouble!
In general:
All posts made in character should be written in a prose format, preferably third person and usually past tense.
Please use basic courtesy (as a writer, we understand that not all muses are polite) and try to keep your grammar and spelling at a level that will not disrupt the flow of the roleplay. That is: we prefer it if you do not use text speak and translate anything said in another language in brackets after wards for the comfort of your fellow authors.
In specific:
Hidden Dimension (muse) roleplays are already set up and there's no need to elaborate characters or anything else. Just jump in an empty thread or join one already in progress with your muses. Remember to ask first if there are others already there though.
Interlinked Web (original) roleplays require a little more effort. There are threads to set up your characters and once you've done so you can request a place to play. Or join one already in progress, just remember to ask if you do so!
Fandom Roleplays (fandom, unsurprisingly) will all have threads set up for you to pick a canon character or create your own and some threads set up for you to play around in! Once again just post in an empty one or join in and, as always, don't forget to ask!
I think that's all...
But you're welcome to ask any questions in the thread below and I'll do my best to answer them.

I know this'll probably sound stupid, but...about the language thing, what if what the characters are saying has something to do with the plot, and you can't tell anyone? Are you still required to tell everyone exactly what was said? Or...can you just let people wonder?

Ummmm. Well if it's plot related wouldn't you need other people to know?
But generally you can leave something in a different language without translating (though people can probably translate it online themselves). It just makes it easier for you/others if you want them to know what you're saying.
I hope that helped...

I think it's easier to just include the translation after it at all times- just because the PEOPLE role-playing can understand and therefore have an understanding of the plot doesn't necessarily mean the characters themselves can understand the language spoken.
. . . Did that make sense? Or is there a logic hole I'm not seeing? =/

It makes sense. But sometimes the GM or whoever's got the plot doesn't wanna reveal all their tricks at once. For instance, if you have a character who's bad, but everyone thinks they're good, go and tell another character in another language to prepare a trap for everyone else, and all the other players know, it can kill the surprise. Or...at least to me it does.... *hopes she's making sense*
