Hm, very hot now since it's already summer here. Even when it's not summer, it's still hot. People would rather stay indoors, the sun is very very strong. Students don't have school this time, so many of them are not doing anything much.

Any heat stroke or fatal heat related accidents? O.o That sounds terrible. I would be dying if I was there. You little siggy is something on how I imagine it to be. XD

I don't know, I have not watched tv for a long time to see what's on the news. I'm pretty sure you will suffer from the heat here, since you are used to colder climates.
Here, we have to turn on the air conditioner or the electric fan just to keep ourselves cool. Sadly, it makes the electric bills higher.
Anyway, have you checked the mods thread lately? Lately there have been arguments going on between dawn and the others. My, a lot have happened since I last posted there.

Ugh... I really dislike the heat and humidity makes it worse. >.< Doesn't even make the night cool properly and you end up waking in a sticky, hot mess. Have you tried shading? Drawing the blinds and limiting sunlight getting into your houses? Southern California here is more of a desert, but doesn't get that hot like in Arizona because it's closer to the ocean, but it is pretty darn hot. I think humidity actually makes it feel worse, but dry heat is more dangerous that moist heat as your body loses water faster in dry air and you become prone to dehydration. So I think I would survive in your heat, just become very miserable. I'm not sure... what say you? ^^
Yeah... sorry you had to see that. It was not pleasant at all and it stemmed from a lot of misunderstandings and a couple of unnecessary swear words dropped here and there kinda made emotions run high.
I also noticed one aggravation was over the competition idea and I see even more misinterpretation from the two sides. I'm actually for and against the competition idea. For because competitions can actually help revive activity and nothing is more refreshing than a competitive spirit/wind, but I am against because of what Dawn and Chaos are proposing what the competition is focused on, who is the best member or who is the best muse.
When it comes down to people and their characters, there can be a possibility of bias and favoritism, which can spark more friction and accusation among members when people feel votes have been altered simply because someone appears "better" than meeker members. I believe I've stated before, we're a site dedicated to RP'ing and, if possible, writing. We're not a beauty pageant.
I think we should have competitions and the voting events, but something centered on one's RP'ing skills and writing skills. Mods should be the unbiased judges and look for consistency and quality in a member's writing. That way, this will limit the possibility of someone's emotions affecting their judgment. Not only that, we should also have Honorable Mentions where members who have shown a degree of improvement or determination to improve their writing skills receive both respect and admiration.
I think I'm going to post this all in the Mod Board. XD Sorry, Frappe for dumping it all on you. ^^ But what do you think?

I have never been to other countries for me to compare dry hot climates and humid hot climates. You will suffer, yes, but of course you'll live. XD That's why I take a shower in the evening nowadays. If I shower in the morning I sweat the entire day then i would be sticky already it's bothersome when I'm trying to sleep. Also, I do my aerobic exercises in the evening because it's not that hot and I can take a shower afterwards. That's how I have coped the summer this week. Very boring staying at home.
Yeah, it was scary. I was afraid for wtrp, too. I already posted my thoughts in that thread stating that I'm alright whether they go on with the competition idea or not.
Hmm, why are a lot of people getting angry nowadays? Ah.. must be the heat? Yes, I don't like the part about favouritism and bias either. It's best that the competition thing will be modified in a way that would lessen those. But, I'm not sure how that can be done.
Haha, I was quite surprised by your long post. Hey, I don't mind. You can talk about it as much as you want in here. XD I would have done the same thing if i were in your place. You go ahead and post it, I think it will help people reflect. Raven just told me that everything's fine between them now, since Comma helped them calm down. I gotta check though.

I've lived in Shanghai and the humid summer heat really kills things. XD But I love it when it rains. It practically pours in buckets! Oh yea, that's good. Besides, your body is already suffering from the heat, why push it further? >.<
Maybe. That and stress from work/school. It's mid-term in college for us and everyone is scrambling about.
Indeed. Everything went to hell without Comma. It's a little scary.

rain is good when you are at home. But when you have to go to work or to school, then rain when traveling is troublesome. Ah, I want to be slim. I've been on a diet recently, had to limit carbs, then i exercise 4 days a week at least. I was depressed because of my body. So exercise helps me become happy again LOL Yes, that could be it. I don't have school anymore, so all I could really do for now is wait and think of ideas for the wtrp. We don't have to push ourselves. Good thing comma calmed everyone down. What would have happened to us if she hadn't?

Aw... Frappe. D: *huggles* It's good you've taken up a healthy habit of exercise and cutting back, but you shouldn't think badly of yourself. Maybe this can help? Simply set reasonable goals for yourself on how much you want to lose every month or week. Whenever you feel down, imagine yourself in your goal and the benefits that come with it. But always remember to be REASONABLE. Take me for example. I can never be a size 0 because my body frame doesn't allow me to. I'm rather tall for my age, so a slightly muscular build is perfectly healthy for me whereas an extremely slim shape would be the death of me. You should consult your doctor on what a healthy weight is for you and remember to tell yourself that you are beautiful. ^_^

*hugs back*
Thanks for the encouragement, writer. You're very kind. hehe, well, you don't have to worry about me, i am usually reasonable when it comes to diet and exercise. I don't overdo it, and I have researched for years about how to keep healthy. I'm a nurse, so that is inevitable LOL
Hmm, I find it hard to avoid snacks, i think my metabolism is really something. When I cut down on carbs, I get hungry 2 hours after eating. So what i did was eat more vegetables and fruits. Days ago, it was tough because there weren't any fruits in the house. Then I told my mother that we need fruits, so we went to the groceries today and bought some, Yay! Now I can snack on healthy food!
Hehe, I know I'm beautiful! Bwahaha (conceited) Just kidding but I find it a little strange that you can tell me to tell myself I'm beautiful if you have not seen a pic of me yet.
I can't afford a doctor, so I rely on my own personal research for this. Thankfully I don't happen to have any disease that would complicate my diet and exercise plans.
Yeah, I'm guessing you are a super tall thin guy, the best for you would be... muscle building. Eat foods high in protein, like mostly meat and you can try going to the gym, if you have time or just do some crunches and other muscle exercises at home.

You're welcome, Frappe. : ) Oh yes, I forgot you were a nurse. *derp* XD
Indeed. Snacking is hard to resist and boredom doesn't help since it makes snacking even more irresistible. >.< They do say eating a little between meals, something healthy of course, can actually curb your appetite and you end up eating smaller portions during your meals. Plus it helps keeps you energy up since sometimes people get tired in the middle because of a large and heavy meal.
I know, I haven't seen a pic of you yet, but everyone is beautiful in their own way. Sorry if I weirded you out, Frappe. XD
Er... I wish I was thin. >.< *is ashamed at self* My body is nothing to gawk at. XD

Haha, derpina! XD you like ninegag?
That's very good information. thank you! I don't do well with small meals since i get easily hungry. I have to eat what i like when i want to because if i don't, my body would hate me and make me want to eat more. LOL!
Haha, I'm not weirded out. I'm used to weirdness(it's not bad, it can be good sometimes) so there is no need to worry about that. But you're right. Everyone is beautiful in their own way, not necessarily in a physical way.
You're not thin? I thought you said you were thin. LOL, i'm getting confused. When I realized that my body doesn't look good, i started to lessen my internet and computer time and use the time to do more physical activities, maybe clean the house, work out, it's good for you. XD

Hm... a little, but most of the people on it seem to irritate me a lot. The post are nice, can't say the same for the community.
Oh my... your body is evil! XD
Of course. :3 Beauty is simply in the eye of the beholder. -hug-
Yeah... maybe it was a mis-reading since I did say that given my height and build, I can't be thin. I'm a little... chunky... *blushes* Well I'm still on the computer and can't afford time for physical activities other than walking given my school schedule, but I am making sure to eat a lot of fiber. ^_^

Oh i don't know about their community, but I'm certain there are jerks with terrible attitudes hanging in that site, judging by the posts.
Yeah it is! My body just loves making diets and exercises more difficult than they needed to be DX hehe, a lot of people say that about beauty. I guess you're right :3
Chunky...? meat = muscle = good? Ah i see, it's hard to do work outs and exercises especially when we have school to worry about. And we would rather use our free time between school time relaxing right? hehe can't blame you,

Yeah, which is why I don't visit it much lest I want to leave a snappy, angry comment and be "anti-joke chicken." Seriously, I think the other reason I go to the site is to destroy and neutralize all the "jokes" they make. Why? BECAUSE IT'S FUN!!! *giggles*
Hm... metabolism plays a role in it since our bodies are fast adapters.
No... um... *blushes in shame* a little fat. Yup. Relaxing because I used up most of my glucose for brain power. =_=
