Well, I have one on the go now, which is about this girl who is rebelling against her power-corrupted King... but that's taking me forever! My Nano one is two 'princesses' who are really just peasant girls stolen by a witch and locked in towers to make everyone think they're princesses, then the witch plans to make her riches by being their mother when they marry princes. She baits the princes, helps them through the forest (hence the need for scary forest creatures) but fails to take love into consideration in her plans...
How bout you? What're you planning to write for Nano? =)

Oh my, I love your story! X3
Hm... mine, I'm not sure... er... I have two ideas so far. One will focus on Zen's world, except I think I might have to change his name or he might be labeled as a Sue. Another is an idea I had about the conception of angels and demons. Do you want to hear about them? :3

You're welcome. -hug-
Okay. The story revolves around the conflict between the angels and demons. However, our perception of them is a bit warped and distant from the truth. In this world, the history of the angels and demons have spanned beyond the years of human history. Little do we know that the two supernatural forces have had great influence on our race.
Before humans had evolved into what we are today, when we were still primitive and working our way up to greater sentience, there used to be one supernatural race. They are the demons. For a long time, the demons have observed our world from their realm of reality out of curiosity and interest as it was a diverse world blooming with life.
Because the demons are not of our reality, they cannot not physically interact with our universe. The only thing they can manipulate are our minds on the subconscious level. The demons specialize in our basic emotions, joy, sorrow, rage, etc. When our species came onto the Earth, the demons switched their attention from the creatures of Earth to our distant ancestors. They implanted small ideas and whispers into our young minds, watching with interest as our brains reacted differently to their influences. For a long while, the demons observed us and learning of our newly acquired intelligence.
Then, one day, a certain demon whispered courage into the humans. Courage to not fear fire. It was those words, that demon who gave our race the ability to use fire and advance further. At first this was overlooked by a majority of the demons as they continued on to toy with us. But as they watched us develop and advance, the demons began to fear our immense drive to evolve and learn. Some demons advocated to deconstruct us back into our primitive state, but a small group of demons disagreed.
They saw wonderful potential in our race and supported in guiding humans with their power of influencing the mind. The society of the demons denounced and exiled the rouge demons, who then took on the name of angels and threw away their original forms and that is where the conflict started to rise.
In an attempt to "save" the humans from the demons, the angels started to aggressively guide and implant ideas into their minds. From there, our race advanced. Walking out of the caves and building huts and stable shelters. Domesticating animals, utilizing agriculture and forming spoken language. The demons tried their best to undo what the angels were doing, degenerating some of the humans back to primal states or setting off wars to destroy whatever advancements were made.
The angels proved successful as the human mind worked in their favor, welcoming any technological advancement that helped improve their lifespan from starvation and the brutal elements. It became a battle to save the humans or blast them back into beasts. Eventually the demons saw the beauty human created through art and songs and no longer tried to devolve us.
That soon changed when the angels started to change. As newer angels replaced the old, the subsequent generation began to see that basic emotions sparked horrible reactions and thoughts from the humans. Love could lead to jealousy, jealousy to anger, anger to murder, murder to war. The angels saw our emotions as a hindrance to our advancement and as the essence of the demon race they originally were. The angels soon adopted a militaristic culture that encouraged in extreme temperance and self-control. The angels themselves became cold, neutral, and indifferent whereas the demons remained fiery, passionate, and embracing emotions.
The conflict changed where the soul of the human race was at stake. The angels wished to pacify all of us, muffle our emotions. Become as unfeeling and as they are. On the other hand, the demons were in uproar over this as they believed what the angels were doing went against the laws of nature. Over the years of recent human history, religions have begun to pop out and humans fighting against another between piety and free will. Angels and demons using their powers on us to battle it out who should win influence over our race.
Whoever wins this seemingly never ending war, the humans will be under the sway of either the supernatural entities. Angels or demons? It is still uncertain.
And sorry for the long post, hope I wasn't babbling incoherently.
