Before time was recorded Primus chose a quiet corner of the galaxy and constructed a world Cybertron, a machine world and brought forth life upon it, over the countless eons it grew and evolved under his guiding hand into the race he desired. The Cybertronians, for a long while they lived in peace but the began to develop along two lines, one for warfare and one for peaceful pursuits and building of wondrous things just for the sake of creation. They two factions chose names the warriors called themselves Decepticons and the peaceful builders Autobots. For a time they lived in harmony until a new leader seized the Decepticon leadership , Megatron. He declared the Decepticons were the rightful rulers of the planet, and at first tried political methods to seize power as he had no mind to shed cybertronian energon needlessly. The Autobots were willing to share power but not fully cede it to Megatron.
Megatron began to consider new tactics when a group of business mech approached him with offers to back him in an armed coup by supplying weapons for an army , for a price of course. Megatron accepted and launched his attack killing Prima the leader of the Autobots but he lived long enough to pass the matrix on to its next keeper. This Autobot was approached by the same business mechs and was convinced to purchase weapons to fight back. and Thus began an arms race that would slowly but surely strip the planet of its resources. Time passed and as Sentinel Prime lay dying he passed the matrix to its new keeper Orion pax who was reformatted by the matrix into Optimus prime. About this time a survey ship was sent out by the Decepticons to scout for colony sites and energon deposits.
The ship cruised for years surveying various planets but finding little of use, in the mean time the two leaders left cybertron with some of there best troops, The Autobots to find energy resources , The Decepticons to stop them. The ended up crashing on a small planet called earth. Meanwhile half a galaxy away the Decepticon survey ship encountered a meteor storm and was nearly out of it when one struck a vulnerable section of its hull and knocked out the engines. The worked feverishly to restore power but before they could accomplish this they were caught in a planet's gravity and crashed near a river. The planets unique properties strongly effected there systems robbing them of there transformation ability and quickly rendering there advanced technology all but useless. 1,000 years passed and The Autobots and Decepticons who crashed on earth were revived and picked up there war where they left off. After few years on earth both sides return to Cybertron now 99% percent controlled by the Decepticons. A wealthy merchant had sold both sides plans for a super weapon , warheads of immense power, neither side new the other had the same plans as each was built in the greatest secrecy.
The war continued and It was determined to be an utter stalemate so both sides decided to use there super weapons over the objections of scientists on both sides citing unpredictable effects on the planet. both weapons detonated with in a second of each other and hundreds of thousands were wiped out in seconds and several million more died of disease brought on by the effects of the weapons. The worst was yet to come the planet's core was poisoned and while Primus could have saved it he chose to let it die as he knew his warring children would just destroy it in the future. Soon it was discovered the core was in it death throws and the planet would implode and evacuation ships were readied by both sides.
The Autobot prepared to leave en mass when Megatron and his die hard forces attacked and destroyed many ship killing tens of thousands more Autobots as he believed Primus had judged them and was punishing them by destroying them. Some Decepticons defied him and left and they chose a new leader Shockwave.
Optimus prime embittered by his failures declared the Decepticons solely responsible for Cybertron's destruction as they had started the war and ordered them to be hunted down and executed with out trial save for the very young who could be programmed and were innocent of there elder's misdeeds.
The Decepticon went into hiding as there losses were greater than the Autobots and they were hunted. Another small ship left Cybertron just prior to the implosion and its wayward journey to Telemcula's would bring both factions to the planet.
The Autobots :
Optimus prime: Leader of the Autobot survivors, he is Tired and depressed, he watched his home world die on his watch and has sworn to hunt down all remaining Decepticons and punish them for starting the war. He is wise , powerful and kind. He was the last of a long line of primes . Sadly by the time the dying Sentinel prime passed him the matrix Cybertron was too far gone to save. He has turned his inner turmoil into anger and rage and now lives to punish and Destroy every Decepticon he can find, save those young enough to be reprogrammed into Autobots. He has been plagued lately by strange dreams with cryptic warnings.
Ironhide: Tough as his name implies. a warrior through and through. he enjoys the hunt for the Decepticon survivors. Mercy is something he believes the Autobots have no longer have time to give and the Decepticons no right to expect. He considers Decepticon Hunting to be a sport, one in which he excels, privately he disagrees with Optimus about converting young Decepticons into Autobots feeling they should all be exterminated.
Kup: an old battle hardened Veteran who has seen more of the war than any other living Cybertronian. He is greatly sadden by the loss of his home world and deals with his grief by taking it out on Decepticons. He enjoys making them suffer has he has as he suffers from nightmares in which he sees the many friends he lost over his long life.
Ratchet: a medic extraordinare he has repaired more Autobots than he cares to remember and seen even more die. he throws himself into his work to deal with the depression he feels due to the ones he could not save. Silently he abhors and condemns the wholesale slaughter of the Decepticons and only the caring for and nurturing of the sparklings who are spared has kept him from completely losing it.
Wheeljack: scientist mad or otherwise , he alone is responsible for keeping the surviving Cybertronian tech running, somehow he has managed to build equipment to manufacture spare parts. His original inventions have a frightening tendency to blow up in is face plate. He has begun harvesting salvageable parts from fallen Decepticons, when his comrades leave anything useful in tact. While he finds it distasteful he has little choice if he is going to keep the equipment running.
Cliffjumper: Young, eager and has seen too much war and violence too soon, suffers a bit from post traumatic stress syndrome having been the sole survivor when the first unit he was assigned to was ambushed by Decepticons. Takes personal revenge by slaughtering as many Decepticons as he can. Often will kill Decepticon sparklings and younglings against orders. He has a long list of reprimands on his record. Only Optimus prime's need for skilled soldiers keeps him out of prison.
Bumblebee: young and untested he had just joined up when the largely unsuccessful evacuation began, he saw a Decepticon Force under Megatron's command destroy many refugee ships as he had come to believe Cybertron's destruction was divine punishment and is haunted by nightmares of it, hides his fear with jokes. His spark is still clear and undarkened by what has come to pass. he follows orders even if he disproves of them.
Jazz: Prime's special operations officer and right hand mech, always keeps his cool no matter what. Takes pride in smoking out hidden colonies of Decepticons. Keeps a log book of those he has found and helped destroy. Turns to music to deal with the guilt and energon on his servos for the many deaths he has caused.
Mirage: was once a hunter of turbo foxes, now is a sniper and hunter of Decepticons. he is a deadly accurate marksman and takes perverse pleasure in stalking and killing Decepticons as he holds them responsible for destroying the wild life of Cybertron so he considers them fair game no matter how young they may be. He becomes agitated when something fouls his shot.
The Decepticons and Decepticon Search Team:
The Decepticons were once a militaristic and warrior-like race hailing from the same world Skip’s ancestors hailed from. They prided themselves on their military tactfulness and strength and often worked in the armed forces of their world. Then sparked the long and bitter war between them and the Autobots, both sides dubbed it the Great War. Their conflicts and battle left a great number of deaths and destruction in its wake, ravaging their once glorious world. Even with the destruction of their own planet, both sides still seethe at each other with an unbridled hate.
However, some Decepticons are willing to accept partial blame for the destruction of Cybertron, their home world, but they do not accept the Autobot allegation that they were solely responsible for sparking the long and bitter war that eventually led to, what they called, the Great Tragedy; the demise of their world and the loss of many of their fellow Decepticons.
As of now, the Autobots outnumber the Decepticon by a significant margin even though both factions have suffered tremendous losses. The Decepticons suffered the greater losses as Megatron, their previous leader, refused to leave Cybertron out of belief that Primus had judged them and decided they were to perish for their own follies. Many Decepticons chose to stand by their leader and many of those who left did reluctantly.
The Decepticon Search Team was assembled for the purpose of tracking down the surviving Decepticons and evacuating them safely to the hidden colonies they set up as sanctuaries for their broken race against the Autobots that hound them to the corners of the cosmos. During the Temecula time line, they detected Autobot and Decepticon energy signatures on the unfounded world and have come with the intentions of investigating and rescuing all Decepticons they can find. They patrol the darkness of space, looking for survivors from their ship, the Nemesis II. Their crew consists of those listed below.

Became leader of the Decepticon in the wake of Megatron's death, His logic has been vital to the survival of whatever has remained of his people. He has learned the importance of giving into emotion when needed. He has grown and learned that, sometimes, that choices guided by illogical emotions must be made for the greater good. He privately mourns for his leader and those he could not save. To ease his grieving spark, he swore a vow to guide the Decepticons to a new peaceful life as following the old Decepticon regime is illogical where survival itself is a victory.
Starscream
Initially chose to abandon Cybertron as he saw it as an opportunity to take control of the Decepticons. He was angered when Shockwave was voted into leadership. He contemplated a coup, for a while, until the Nemesis II docked at a Decepticon colony where he saw, with his own optics, how few of his kind was left and how ragged and wretched they had become. He decided then and there that this was no time for sparking conflict within the Decepticon survivors when they had lost so many already and the threat from the Autobot hunters loomed just around the corner. He instead turned to his old profession, that of a scientist and utilized his skills to better the lives of his people. Still desires leadership, but has learned that the Decepticons can no longer afford conflict between each other when they are on the brink of extinction.
Thundercracker
Originally wanted to stay with Megatron as he greatly respected and revered him, even though he questioned the Decepticon cause at times. It was that doubt that convinced him to go with Starscream. He has greatly regretted his action and, in a sense of redeeming himself, always throws himself into potentially lethal situations in hopes of dying and joining his fallen leader in the afterlife. That said he still does his best to rescue Decepticon refugees.
Ramjet
Has settled down and, while he still enjoys crashing into things, he uses his head more strategically now. Ramjet has become bonded to a Decepticon femme named Whitestar. She is a top notch medic and serves as the team's medical officer. They have a sparkling named Jetta. She is the energon apple of her father's optics and he will do anything to protect his family and his people.
Soundwave, Rumble and Frenzy
Soundwave, Rumble and Frenzy are the last of their group having lost their comrades to the war. Mirage is to be blamed as he killed Laserbeak and Buzzsaw and mortally wounded Ravage, forcing Soundwave to euthanize the robotic feline from suffering a painful death. They all hold a passionate hate on Mirage for what he has done. To add to the misery, Soundwave's mate, Windsong (a femme seeker), has gone missing. They hope to be reunited with her one day.
Soundwave is depressed, but finds light in his bleak life from his twin sons; Rumble and Frenzy. Because of this and added with his losses, Soundwave is a very protective father. The twins are fun loving yet darken by the pain they have felt, perhaps in time they can find a fellow Decepticon youngling to help them grown past the anger and pain. The three of them pray to Primus every night to reunite them with Windsong.
Mindwipe
Is the self proclaimed mystic of the Decepticons. He has hypnotic "magic" to aid his fellow Decepticons during rescue missions by distracting Autobots and calming down panicking bots. He is very secretive about his "magic" so none are sure if it really some form of mystical power or a device within his systems. He greatly misses his friends Weirdwolf and Skullcruncher, who are missing, but he hopes they are alive and one day to be reunited with them. It is likely he will find the magic of Telemcula most interesting.
