“That’s all?” Came the sardonic remark.
SETH smirked a little more as he studied Tsubasa. He noticed what appeared to be a seven-foot tall woman with red-brown hair and some sort of mouse or gerbil-like creature. He arched an eyebrow as he tried to get a closer look at the strange animal. His eyes seem to be unable to zoom in. He was very reluctant to step forward. It would be admitting defeat.
“What are you talking about?” The boy asked snidely.
“You act as though you are connected to the trees.”

Nyala giggled properly this time, the sound triggering more, until she was laughing aloud, holding her arms steady so as not to shake Monoka.
"That would be because I am," she replied, biting her lip to supress the giggling fit, "I'm a dryad, it sort of comes with the territory."
She took a few breaths, steadied herself, and stroked Monoka, with an apology. It seemed to be the right thing to do. She hoped that Monoka would not take offence.
"Sorry, it's just so obvious! Did I shake you a lot?"

"Mokona is alright!" The black little creature hopped off the dryad's hand to the top of her head. "How should Mokona call you?"
Not far ahead, Tsubasa was studying the new boy with some curiosity, but decided to turn back to the tree spirit, mildly amused with Mokona's interest at her. He merely stared at the odd pair silently, watching their exchange.

Nyala reached up to take Monoka from her head again.
"I'm Nyala," she smiled, perplexed still at Monoka, "And that is my hair, and I would appreciate it if you didn't sit on it. I happen to like it not messed up."
She thought for a minute, then decided to warn Monoka.
"I am probably not the best person to sit on, anyway. I use my powers instinctively, and if I were to disappear, you would fall from what is a great height for one so small. Just so you know."

(I'm back... *tired smile*)
"Eh?" Mokona slipped off the dryad's head and plopped down onto her shoulder."Mokona doesn't know - Mokona's used to sitting on people's heads." Its ears drooped. "Sorry!"
It then grinned at the other two boys. "Let's go - to solve the mystery of the cursed waterfall!"
With that, the odd group finally began to move forward.

(well done =) )
"No, I'm sorry, I've upset you now," Nyala leant her head to Monoka, half-smiling, "but a seven foot drop for you probably would not be much fun."
She giggled, probably misjudged, but to be honest, her lingering happiness, relief even, was enough for her not to care in the slightest.

(Reviving...)
Tsubasa couldn't help but smiled slightly at the dryad's words. "I don't think it would mind...it's such a playful little one." He was somewhat unnerved at her constant giggling, but shrugged and focused his attention on the tall grasses around him. He parted the leaves as he pushed his way through the thickness, deep in thought about how he could try to know more about this new realm that Mokona had thrown him (and his missing companions) to. Although Mokona could help them to traverse across dimensions, it couldn't choose the next world they would end up in. Nevertheless, every dimension they had gone to was adventurous and eventful.

(yay!)
Nyala smiled.
"Well, if you're sure."
She followed Tsubasa through the undergrowth, easily, humming a little to herself.
