Okay! List! (links go to videos by the way). I've included a small analysis/background for each band so you can decide what to use your limited bandwidth on. xD. And I know there's a lot here. I in no way expect you to watch all of them at once. Or at all. It's just for your perusal. So, at the moment I'm going through a huge The Raconteurs, The Dead Weather, The Kills, Cold War Kids, Gnarls Barkley, The White Stripes phase... The Raconteurs (also known as the Saboteurs in Australia for some reason) are Jack White's current musical project. They're kind of a rock/indie/something or other group. Jack White is weird, his music and music videos tend to reflect this. Songs to listen to include Broken Boy Soldier (my favourite of their songs), Steady As She Goes (also really, really good) and You Don't Understand Me. Then there's The Dead Weather, who are what is technically termed a 'supergroup'. Basically means that everyone in the band is famous for something else. In this case you have Jack White and the other Jack from the Raconteurs plus Alison and Dean Fertita from Queens of the Stone Age. They have so many good songs it's really hard to pick out the best ones...ummm... Die By The Drop is totally worth watching just for the music video (the song is amazing too) which includes Alison being, um, breathtakingly insane. Then there's Treat Me Like Your Mother, I Can't Hear Your and Old Mary. There are loads more but I don't want to overload you... And the Kills, who you've already looked into but are awesome enough to bear mentioning again because, um, hello, Alison, omg. Anyway. Favourite songs by the Kills are probably No Wow, Kissy Kissy and Sour Cherry. Cold War Kids you may actually already listen to but they're in my 'inspired insanity' playlist along with all these guys so I felt I should include them as well. Songs...um... Something Is Not Right With Me, Hospital Beds, Relief. Gnarls Barkley are actually a duo made up of Danger Mouse and Cee Lo Green. No wait! Don't leave! They're really good! I swear! Try Necromancing or Storm Coming. The White Stripes were Jack White's first band. A duo composed of him and Meg White...who claimed to be his sister but was actually his wife...I told you they were weird! Try Martyr For My Love For You or In The Cold, Cold Night. But I'd also recommend that you check out some very awesome (Australian) bands such as Faker , Killing Heidi, The Cat Empire, Lisa Mitchell. Faker are kind of weird, indie rock. They'd be one of my nihilistic British boy bands if...they were British. I'd recommend trying Hurricane, This Heart Attack or Voodoo Economics. Killing Heidi are somewhat more genuinely rock. I don't know if it'll translate though, their songs are kind of a 'lazy outback' kind of style. Or at least that's how I perceive them. We'll see I guess. Try Mascara, Weir or Black Sheep. The Cat Empire are honestly one of my favourite bands. They have this crazy neo-jazz thing going on and I cannot explain how much I love them. They're also really versatile. hence the ridiculous number of videos. Okay, so they have some really ridiculous stuff, such as The Car Song. But then they have kind of...more serious but still boppy stuff like Hello. And then there's sexy stuff like Fishies and Sly. AND THEN there's slow, sad stuff like Miserere, Song For Elias and No Longer There. AND THEN you have the heavier sad stuff like The Heart Is A Cannibal and Beyond All. Okay, I will stop with the spamming of these guys now. Um, Lisa Mitchell is kind of adorable and all. Would recommend Pirouette, Sidekick or Incomplete Lullaby. Oh! Also! Based on your love of weird bondage poems try some IAMX. Chris Corner is awesome. Try Mercy, Spit It Out or Kiss And Swallow. And Metric! Ummm... Black Sheep or Help I'm Alive. And Stars!! Your Ex-Lover Is Dead, Calendar Girl, What I'm Trying To Say...St Vincent! Paris Is Burning! Hmmm, I can recommend more later as I refine my understanding of your taste. But for now...those ones. Also, totally eating up your bandwidth here but have some additional, awesome stuff. Florence + the Machine cover Hospital Beds here. Last Shadow Puppets singing Paris Summer with Alison!! here. Alison singing Steady As She Goes with the Raconteurs here. The quality isn't great and all but this delights me because this is totally where the Dead Weather stated when Jack lost his voice on tour with the Kills and she filled in for him. Cool, huh? Most hilarious Dead Weather interview ever here. Anyway! Wow! Lots more links and time went into this than I originally intended! I'll go and hide now!

hahaha! I'll sneakily watch while I'm home alone... XP
Ok, things I already know from the list, but for one reason or another have never really got into (doesn't mean I don't like them, just means I'm a very lazy person): The Raconteurs, Gnarls Barkley (yes, I like, stop worrying), White Stripes
Also, my list will turn up soon, promise!! Just doing a whole load of youtubing things that I still haven't got round to researching more... see, lazy person. I fall in love with one song, then am never bothered to find out if the rest are good >.<

How did I miss this? Aaah! So good! <3<3<3
Ok, since our downloads are going down the drain I can't link you to anything... -is deeply, deeply sorry, but thinks you'd prefer her to watch the links you gave her- buut...
Futures you have (XD) so look up Francesqa, you've heard Ghosts, but they have some other good songs too.. Years is good... I think the other really good one was October, but it could've been another month >.<
We Are The Ocean, anything from the album Go Now and Live (it might be a bit heavy but I'll inflict it on you anyway); Trouble is Temporary, The Waiting Room (<3), Runaway, Follow What You Need (oh I could so go on, amazing album, the earlier ones are a bit ludicrously screamy though)
The Gaslight Anthem are also good XD Great Expectations, The '59 Sound, actually most of their songs are good...
There is ONE song by this really really unknown band House of Three Hands that I found on youtube this morning, though it was on my iPod and that somehow removes some of the songs, and it's really, really good... I need them to get signed! I'd buy the album!
Right, going back in time... Creedence Clearwater Revival... for if you feel retro - you will know the songs already I promise... I Put a Spell on You, Born on the Bayou, Proud Mary... (sorry, this is desperation since you already know everything I listen to =P)
And there are some random songs I listen to, that I haven't youtubed yet; Dream Theater - A Rite of Passage, Jimmy Eat World - The Middle and Pain
Right now I'm also really into Nightwish, Tarja (their singer who went solo), Epica, Within Temptation, Architects (screamy), Fleetwood Mac, Foos, The Academy Is..., Alanis Morissette, Arcade Fire, Evanescence, Florence, Marina, Imogen Heap, Gary Moore (but only Wild Fronteir, the rest is too bluesy), Scissor Sisters, Three Days Grace, and Young Guns...

Okay, so I couldn't find a studio recording of Ghosts but I did find the official video for Years and omg, they're so pretty. And it apparently is October, I found a recording of it. Also pretty. Unfortunately didn't have a video so I didn't get the visual pretty. October actually reminds me weirdly of Teenage Dream and Years of Hello. But anyway...You're proving really good for my collection of nihilistic British boy bands. Thank you for that. Quite liked We Are The Ocean...Not my absolute favourite genre but still something I enjoy (because I enjoy almost everything). Hmmm, have you ever heard any Franz Ferdinand? Maybe The Fallen or Ulysses. I have no idea but these guys made me think of them... Seriously digging The Gaslight Anthem. They are now officially on my iTunes wishlist. Found the House of Three Hands song. At least I think I did. I assume it was Room 502? They're pretty good. There's a similarly unknown band over here called The Jives that I wish I could show you...but I can't...But House of Three Hands is apparently 'up and coming' so maybe they're about to be signed? Hahaha, sorry, but I already know Creedence. And while I do love their cover of I Put A Spell On You (originally by Screamin' Jay Hawkins) I think I like The Kills cover better. Alison is just so amazing!! Dream Theater is kind of intense. Already know Jimmy Eat World. And all the others you listed. lol, sorry. I'm hard to recommend music to, I like a lot of stuff but I already know most of it... So...hope you're enjoying your vacation!

Yeah, you're difficult =P But I succeeded with something! That's a start, right! XP
I do know Franz Ferdinand, but probably listened to Employment too much, so kind of went off them, and I haven't heard much of their new stuff.
It was Room 502... the ONE song... so not fair... they were played on the radio a few months ago - someone slipped a CD to a Radio One morning DJ and he played it, so with any luck...XD
Dammit! You know everyone! Gah! And yeah... I kind of do heavy... >.<
Oooh, I can do folky though... Seth Lakeman's good - Poor Man's Heaven is my favourite, and I'm kind of half into Clannad, but they get boring after a while
The holdiay's... alright... The site's at the same time really good and really skanky, but we're in the Forest of Dean, which is beautiful, and Harry Potter! But Jamie moans so much, so we can't go on the gorgeous long walks that I really, really want... -sighs- It's another place to come back to on my own though... So how's things your end? =)

Yay, musical stuff. I'm sure I have others to suggest. Hmm...
Stuff is alright. I've been being really slack with work and stuff, so I'm about to go and get caught up on that for tomorrow. Then get stuck into some of my assignments. Which I think are due next week...
And I've been watching Skins! OMG Skins...I just finished the fourth season. All I have to say is: WTF? No seriously. You should watch it. Maxxie and Cassie are my favourites. If I get a sufficient amount of work done tonight I may even have time to go back and watch some of their episodes. Watch it!
I'm jealous of your Harry Potter-ness. (And still of your Merlin-ness.)

Oh God, work, I got set some of that... actually I think I've panic-done most of it now... -fingerscrossed- and I need to get my essay plans done so I can be doing my essay loong before November...
Right, so it's House and Skins I'm looking out for DVDs of... anything else before I go on my library look/amazon shop? TV's so dire right now. It's tragic. -cries-
It's one of the few perks of living and holidaying in England. There aren't that many. It's that and the NHS, I think... and the NHS is being severely screwed with, so it's just that really. Ooh! The caves that Merlin was filmed in were also the basis for Gringotts! Just saying... oh, and there was this mini-exhibition about the art teacher who inspired Professor Sprout... =P

Not next week, week after. But I'm still working on the poetry. It seems to be the less strenuous task. Plus I have a poetry mad friend coming on Monday who'll look at it for me. And hopefully tell me it's awesome. Or at least that she thinks I'll pass.
Oh god, so much. Umm...Firefly? Firefly is good...Glee and Pushing Daisies you already watch...Ummm...Life? Hahaha, Thank You just came on and I thought of you then realised I was typing a reply to you...What else...Veronica Mars maybe? I don't know...I watch lots of television! Some say too much...
I'd kind of like to live in...if not England then somewhere in the UK. But for now...Australia. And next...probably America. Still...jealous.

It'll be amazing =D
My parents are evil. Well, dad is. He's heard bad things about Skins so won't let me get it -sigh- I'll get it when 18 though... apparently one of my friends has Buffy on DVD, if she ever remembers I might be able to borrow it! XD I no longer watch much... it's all so crap right now =/ House may be a next month thing though, or Firefly... or both, depending on if I go out / need clothes.. actually I need some essentials...dammit
I'm jealous(ish) of you living in Australia, it's actually warm! -loves hot weather- and the weather here is just appaling ='( anyway, you're more than welcome to come over! No idea why you'd want to come here, but it's not too far from pretty places... =)

Nyeh. So far I feel as if a five year old wrote pretty much all of it.
Even trashy television is interesting from a writer's perspective. Even if you're just using it as a guide for what not to do. I never actually watched Buffy. Joss Whedon is a god though. And I'm still very sad about your lack of Skins. It's so good...
I like bad weather! It's grey and rainy today and I'm enjoying it immensely. Bumming around in my pink flannel polka-dot pajama pants and a giant shirt that says 'crime doesn't pay it just takes without asking'. Ah, I'm so lame. xD.

That is usually a good sign =P
=O how? -watched a series when little- it was so good! I need it back in my life! Seconded. Oh I will watch it! I just have to wait the length of time it takes a child to gestate... (referencing a conversation I had with my mother that you've never heard, but still, it was amusing: 'but I'm 9 months from 18! That's the time it takes a child to gestate!' 'a very important length of time' - mum does 'sagely' well when she wants to)
-snorts with laughter, it's rather unattractive- Loving the shirt! Lame, but snugglable too =)

Really? lol.
I dunno. My mum's nickname is actually Buffy (nothing to do with the series but interesting anyway) so there used to be a poster for it in our bathroom when I was little. It scared me tbh. But I've just never found my way around to watching it. I'm sure I'll get there eventually though.
It's really big on me too, and made of really soft material. All nice and snuggly for rainy days.

Obviously you haven't read some of the poetry in our anthology... just make it about childhood and if it feels like a five year old wrote it then make up something about trying to express the spirit of childhood through the language used, I don't know...
I think I was a little scared, but I liked being scared by it, and I knew that Buffy would always win XD I think I remember you telling me that... months and months and months ago...
Snugglable! -it is a wet day and I am wearing a long denim skirt and a three quarter sleeved top, well, I had to leave the house... plus I'm not allowed pyjamas all day...-
