Three out of a four family members have been jailed for harboring and aiding a fugitive who escaped from a detention center. According to the papers, that fugitive was related to the family. When I first read the article, I thought it was ridiculous. On second thought, is it really wrong to harbor a fugitive? I almost answered no instinctively, but I wasn't in their shoes.
What compels people to do what is deemed as deviant or wrong is certainly an interesting topic. I have a feeling someone out there will probably say that it reflects certain fallacies in our value system. Gosh, there is so many ways to approach it. I still don't know what to think of it.
I'm not saying I support the "misunderstood villain". Nor do I believe that there is a universal set of moral values at the moment. There might be. I don't know. Seriously. I wonder what others think. =3 I don't mind a flame or two.

My quest to learn more about vampires, demons and magic continues. =3 Question of the day: Do vampires get STDs? click>.<; Yeah, it's a silly question, but I do wonder about it. They do drink blood after all and STDs can be transmitted via blood.

I'm officially scared of peri peri sauce and chicken skewers. x.X
That skewer was long! >< *freaked out when it was placed in front of her*
The setup didn't look stable... (even if it was). *now secretly wondering how sharp it was*

It looked like this clickCall me a chicken but it isn't reassuring when your kid brother tries to push the skewer towards you while you eat. My eye was on it the entire time. =/ *reminded of clock pendulums*

Stillness...
That's how I want to feel at the moment.
Lying there... staring into space...
It's nice when you can achieve that state for three hours or more. =3 It isn't drug induced slumber. Erm... meditative daydreaming?

Roasted pineapples...
Juicy inside ... crispy outside...
Weird with sauce...
Too sour on it's own...
Silly Nemu~! You remind me of roasted pineapples.
You, Anpan, you remind me of chestnut stuffing. x.X
Not a nice combination when both characters appear at once!

Education system (not saying where) ... 16 subjects. Some deal with theology and others deal with subjects that should be offered based on National Curriculum. Two languages both neither of which are their mother tongue - Arabic and English. x.X That's a lot of brain capacity needed! It's bad enough learning new languages, but doubling of content wherein what was taught in one class might actually contradict what is taught in another is urgh. =/

Project MUSE 2.0 Feature 1: Probability Calculator Story probability calculator. =D It'll be interesting to be able to calculate the number of potential plot twists you can have based on your content and characters involved! Or would that be giving the computer too much leeway to help where help is not appreciated? o.O *still wondering* Feature 2: Word Count Graphs Yup this is where the word count graphs come in. You can use it to see how your story is progressing and to see how you achieve the climax and conclusion. But I think identifying the climax and conclusion will still need a human brain. Stats can only tell so much before it fails. Feature 3: Data Base Linked to the Internet Data base linked to the Internet. Helps you do all the relevant research at the drop of a hat - research on a particular topic, stories written on the same topic, stories in the same genre, popularity ratings, etc. Feature 4: Avatar (known as M.U.S.E) A customizable (voice and appearance) avatar that will help you brainstorm and roleplay the necessary bits in your story. You can create secondary characters for that same purpose. For fanbased avatars, you can upload video clips or pictures of that avatar and the program will do the rest. See your desired avatar come to life in less than 10 minutes! (If your computer doesn't lag or crash, of course.) Feature 5: World Creation The system will allow you to create a 3D version of the world in your mind to it's best ability. You can use elements from other games/pictures you find online. (Not recommended for those who get sick when exploring 3D environments!) Cons - No language creation feature - It can't think reflexively beyond a certain point - It can't give you the opinions other than those that can be statistically proven - It can define a Mary Sue but won't be able to identify one - Nothing can beat human creativity - Amount of RAM needed and potentially lagging most computers. - Cost Lol... such a program is definitely a dream for now. Not sure if I want to see it being created. It can help, but it takes away some of the suspense and challenge. *head desk* *isn't sure* Yeah. I'm putting it up for now because I definitely won't be implementing it and I am wondering who will. Glad to get that out of my system. =P It was something on the back of my mind since my second last lecture almost a month ago. And now, I'll let the idea die. =3

[On a related note]
A funny question posed by my teacher - why aren't there more graduates who specialize in both Lit and Computing. o.O It was an awkward moment. I think there are, but ...

I wonder who was the essay thief. o.O We have yet to hear from the prof regarding the student who stole the marked essays. Yes, I'm not kidding! They stole marked essays! Lol... my partner thinks they want to see what was written.
>.<; *still thinks it's weird*

Bangkok Day 2 Testing my connection. Passable but I doubt I can use some of my fav programs. Can't wait for my laptop to be up and running again. I missed the hustle and bustle, but things are roughly the same. Hard to believe that everyone was preparing for the worse just awhile ago. Food is definitely more expensive.

Chiang Mai Day 1 Met grandmother yesterday. It was a rather sober lunch with my dad's side of the family, but it was great to see grandmother again! Sad we couldn't stay longer. We will be seeing Angela next. After that we'll be heading to my dad's place in Phuket. Some of my mother's ex students will be visiting us while we are there. We touched down at 3.20 pm. I'm glad the one hour flight was uneventful. The turbulence as mild compared to some of the more violent ones we experienced before. Angela and her husband picked us up from the air port. They weren't kidding! This place is very developed now. I don't think there were this many neighborhoods and malls the last time. Tomorrow the mini van will pick us up at 9.30 am. Can't wait to see the rest of the town. Not too sure when we'll be seeing the hot springs and the Princess Mother's project. it'll depend on our schedule. I have connectivity again but limited connectivity. :/ no msn! Not too sure about the other things. Wtrp is only accessible via my phone. Not too frustrated. Intrigued! How do I solve it? Command /ipconfig showed I'm connected. The IP address was correct. >< I still don't dare do anything too major. Lol I'm dead scared of crashing my com. Guess I'll be heading off now! *yawns*
