So on tumblr there was this clip of Lee Pace from Soldier's Girl (the film's an 18 and while this clip isn't too bad it's still not for young eyes). But anyway it's a case of what has been seen cannot be unseen. And look at the colour of the wig he's wearing while he's doing all that... I suppose it's some form of dancing? It's blond. Fricking blond. Most of the time he wears this gingery brown wig as Calpernica but not for that, oh no! And in what else is he going to wear a blond wig very soon? Just how screwed am I for watching him as Thranduil now?

So I don't know which of these to make my new ringtone when my phone finally comes into service.

Born to Darkness pt 2 is prettier I think, but it's kind of 'I'll sing to you until you deign to pick up the phone', which is bad cause I miss so many calls.
Whereas Louis' Revenge is more 'YO someone's trying to talk to you so take the call.. I said bitch pick up your phone!'. So I don't know.
Actually this post is more to share the amazing music than anything else.

Or I could have a normal pretty ringtone but then a bitch pick up now tone for people whose calls I'd be annoyed to miss. I keep forgetting you can give different songs to different people.

Even though this is only on one website, I think this really is what they've made Thranduil look like. I really hope it's a wind-up though, because seriously what the fuck? If this is genuine I don't know what I'll do. Probably crawl away and cry my eyes out. This is about as far away from my version of him as you can get without completely disregarding Tolkien's description. OMG I have no words for how shocked I am right now. I really seriously hope this someone's idea of a joke.

EDIT:
so it's not a joke and I seem to be the only person on tumblr who isn't thrilled out of their mind by this development. I still maintain that he looks like a cross between Lucius Malfoy and a mad pagan priest. I suppose he doesn't look bad per se, just completely out of place with the other lords, so ott and nothing like how I imagine him. Well I suppose the moral of the story where things you really care about are concerned is expect nothing from people who aren't you. But that's a very harsh lesson. Maybe he wears more down-to-earth things usually... I really hope so. I can't imagine someone holed up in one corner of the world surrounded by a dark forest would look so shiny. I can't imagine anyone in Middle-earth would look that shiny. They're all linens and velvets and silks etc. No... as another character from another fandom okay he looks alright but as Thranduil? Not in a million years.

Well I've replied now - 3 most agonised over sentences I've written in a long time - so either it is him and he knows I appreciate his reply or whoever's pretending to be him thinks they've fooled me, which is also fine thinking about it as whoever it was told me a lot. And I don't suppose there's no chance it couldn't be him, it's just 'why on earth would he look at a random's blog even if the post concerned is wondering over Sindarin and Doriathrin?' Maybe he's just a cool guy who does that even though I imagine he's busy... like Hiddles replying to every tweet he recieves.
