I second the RAE That is one big-ass tvAh -nods- I get it. And that's a good plan, if you can find a double on Hollow Art >.< Bill Nighy.... <3 and Michael Sheen <3 to a lesser extent. I was too young for the films when they came out but I'll give them a shot now... I'll put the first one on my lengthening LoveFilm list. And you have to watch IwtV! The casting is so perfect, and when I read the list before watching it I never in a million years thought I'd be saying that. Congratz! And ah, well at least there is a photo? I'm sure they'd let you; it's very flattering to have such a thing asked I'd imagine. And a suitable - though not perfect - double for mine came out of the blue; Vincent from Pandora Hearts. I just happened to pick up the first volume in Waterstones, thoght 'the fashions they're wearing might work' and googled it.I kinda wanted a real person as a double for once - so far Lovai's the only one - but it wasn't to be...

So hot today that the air conditioning even feels uncomfortably warm. Ugh...Actually, the air conditioning's broken, I just found out. That explains a lot. Please pardon me while I melt into a vaguely comma-shaped puddle. @eli: Well, I have found doubles on listal and tumblr before, through ridiculous, ridiculous amounts of searching. i.e. Ergualph and Lyon. I actually made and uploaded a base set for Lyon's on hollow-art myself, since there weren't any and I'm just helpful like that...not that I really imagine anyone else is going to need bases of a somewhat scruffy-looking long-haired blonde guy, but oh well, that's their call. Aaaaaaah I think I might watch it tonight if I have the time. I've always been iffy about Cruise, since he seems sort of...certifiably insane; but I've kinda actually been interested in seeing Pitt in more versatile roles since Fight Club, as he defied all expectations I had in Fight Club. Now I can't picture Tyler Durden as anyone but Pitt when reading the book. ~_~ My mom probably would have let me watch it when it came out, but Underworld just never intrigued me very much. Didn't seem like the sort of vampire lore I'd like; my brother had to argue me into watching it. Honestly, I sort of preferred the werewolves with the exception of Bill Nighy as Vincent. I'm too picky about vampire fiction...it seems Kain of the Legacy of Kain series, Alucard (and later Walter) of Hellsing, and those of the 'Salem's Lot novel on the whole are really the only vampires in recent fiction of various mediums that I've enjoyed. I've never been terribly fond of the romantic vampire; but then I've never been terribly fond of romance, so I guess that's a given with me.... It's still a long time running, since I've only got a draft of the first chapter done to date >_> so we'll see, I guess. It'd be nice. I'll use it for a post format, at the very least. Sad you couldn't find a real person double for him I've still got a few I'll never find a good real person match for myself. But at least you found a somewhat suitable double? *curious about Pandora Hearts* *googles*

-raises eyebrows- -gives Comma (and anyone else feeling uncomfortably warm) a hug... with ice packs strapped to her hands?- I was about to moan about the heat too but it's only (only) around 25C. Mind you at the end of last week it jumped overnight from 15 to 25 so I'm still aclimatising. I really hope you get your aircone working! We don't have it - we have heating instead - so if it does get up to 30 as they say it might we have no line of defense... ah well, if you guys in the states can survive then so can we. Aww that's sweet of you and you never know. The more bases the better. I've done my new one's format now; I would have posted it last night but I finished at around 11:30 and I'm usually in bed at aroun 10:20 so I decided to wait. Mind you it was too humid to sleep... it's already humid now and it's 1/4 to 10: weather, you're supposed to still be kind of fresh at this time in the morning! You have to watch it! (And now when you do you'll hate it >.<) Cruise's character is slightly mad and has a huge ego etc. He's great though; his characters really annoys me from the second book onwards but in the film he's darkly hilarious. It's the only film I've seen him in actually, and the first film I saw Pitt in which has probably scewed my perception of them as actors, haha. I know what you mean about the voices; for the most part I read Interview with the Vampire with the voice I used when I hadn't seen the film but quite frequently there's a line that they lifted straight out of the book and put in the film so I read that in the voice Pitt used for Louis, which isn't French at all and they're supposed to be French. Okay, anacdote time: it's set in New Orleans so when mum was reading out part of what the rough guide has to say on the town, she read: 'you should be off the streets by nightfall because of-' Me: 'vampires.' I was pissing myself but she was like what on earth? I can't remember what the real reason was... probably something equally gruesome. It's best not to be too picky with your fantasy creatures I think, but I fear for me vampires are going the same way as Elves. Elves are always Tolkien, vampires are always Rice... which cuts out Dracula which I have yet to read so I don't want to go that far with them. I can't stand True Blood though -shivers- -hugs- Some stories go quicker than others. But I share the frustration -is also stuck on a chapter-

I just realized I still say the word "coffee" like a proper New Yorker. HAH. Take that, South Carolina. You'll never have all of me! >D
Only 30?!? You have no idea how jealous I am. We pretty much stay up above at least 35 C for the latter half of the spring and on through summer and until late autumn; and there's no such thing as "dry heat" where I live. If it's hot, it's going to be humid, period. As a person of Norse ancestry and a native of the northern states, I can't take it. I just...I just can't. ;_;
lol, It was for my own selfish needs, though; I figured hollow-art would be a nice place for me to organize them. xD
Didn't get to watch it last night >< I got caught up making a new post format. *sighs* At least it distracted me from the heat, I guess. But I will watch it soon. It's the next movie on my list. Maybe even read it, I only have all of Anne Rice's books on my Kindle... >_> But first I have to get off of this Lovecraft kick. And finish reading the first Sword of Truth book. And get around to reading more Poe. And finish the Dark Tower series and Black House and...and...ugh. Reading list > movie list.
Aaah, I'm always picky with my favorite fantasy creatures.... It's a curse. Tolkien is elves and dwarves (I'm learning to stand them in D&D, but I don't even like my own elves very much... ~_~), I like my vampires violent and/or manipulative, I like my werewolves to actually vaguely resemble wolves and humans, I wish people would stop depicting fauns/satyrs as demons because they're not dammit. Ugh. That last one is a constant source of irritation to me. They're mischievous, not evil! Just because you can't make creative demons doesn't mean you have to alienate yet another generation against adorable and fun-loving fauns!!
Erm... [/rant] Sorry. I, er, like fauns. Which is interesting since I'm not terribly fond of most humans or goats. Hmm.
I really just wrote this first chapter because it refused to get out of my head if I didn't and I had other things to write. I put it on hiatus immediately thereafter until I could develop it more. It's almost ready for writing; I'm just not quite sure on the ending yet. And the rest of my novel projects are also on hiatus ~_~ I've only been working on short stories lately...

We're ranting about writing, right? *insert long rant about how editting sucks and how much she'd rather write than be stuck here editting her NaNo story here*

@ Rae: Writing, fantasy creatures, weather; you know. The usual. Hope your editing goes well! I'm editing a short story to try to send into a speculative fiction mag >_> so I feel about a tenth of your pain at most. I'm on my third draft and my new muse still isn't happy with it....
Having a musical rendition of Shadow Over Innsmouth stuck in my head isn't helping either. Darn it, youtube. Why did I have to find your weird side again?

^ Ah, I see. I'd like to complain about the weather here, too. >_> Thankies, Comma! =D I hope yours goes well, too. And good luck with getting the story published. ^^ Ooooh, a Shadow Over Innsmouth. <3

Thanks!! -glomp- I'm definitely not getting my hopes up, but the only way to go about being published is to actually attempt to get published, so.... lol. Here, have a minute-and-a-half-long musical version of Innsmouth to the tune of "Beginning to Look A Lot Like Christmas". >_>

I don't particularly want to go to London tomorrow seeing as it's going to be 30C there but this is the last chance to visit my grandma until the Olympics are over. Stupid games, stopping me see my relatives next week and the week after that when the temperature'll be back to comfortable. [/end ranom weather rant] See, guys; I can almost join in -ninjapanda- okay maybe not really -slinks off- the hottest I've ever seen it being outside is 41C and that was in London 9 years ago...

It's supposed to get up to almost 40C here tomorrow. v_v Glad the air conditioning's working again. On the upside, there actually is supposed to be slightly less humidity than usual, but I'll believe that when I see it. Can't complain, though. Last July we were stuck between 45 and 50C for three weeks. That was hellish. And you're fully able to join in. As far as I'm concerned the temperature need not ever get above 30 C >_> Anything higher is just mother nature's way of taking out her anger issues on us.
How is it I slept a grand total of three hours in the past thirty-six hours and suddenly I'm not tired? Ugh. Go away, insomnia.

^ I love your decor! And that sounds really sucky -hug- I heard that the drought has got even worse..? Urgh, I don't imagine the heat's helping with your insomnia at all DX Sleeping when it's too hot is impossible. And someone's realised that the Olyimpic opening ceremony could be likened to LotR; evidently this person hasn't realised that one of Tolkien's views that comes out in the book is his being anti-mechanisation so of course that contrast is going to come up. EDIT: I have a DATE!!!!! Biggest set back for my August fanfic is solved! Saeros was already there! And no one else has a clue what I'm on about but I'm too busy dancing to care. -banana- And I just found out what happened to Amras in the Shibboleth - there's a different version in the Sil - and I actually whined, and flapped around, and felt very distressed... Mum and I rewatched LoTR yesterday. We have the extended edition of the first one, and...I just realized it said Thranduil in there. ._. I would have rewound it to see how they pronounced it, but mum would have been like "wtf are you on? Just watch the movie!" And...I also realized I've been pronouncing Celeborn wrong for years. D:

^ Can I like more than once? Is that possible? 'Mae govannen, Legolas Thranduilion' Is it bad that I know the line without having to look it up? "Yes" ~ T At least you have a valid reason for not knowing how to pronounce it, Rae. Five years he's been my muse and he calmly let me get it wrong until I found out the correct pronunciation myself -humph- "'Twas most amusing" The best I can write it out as is Thraaan-d(uw)iil. Or you could listen to Lee Pace pronouncing it. "...Good luck doing Camp on your own" Mind you he gets the 'i' wrong becuase of his accent. And that sounds really bad... but it's true. Tolkien Gateway has mp3s of some of the characters' names, Thranduil's included. And Celeborn's I think. Sindarin pronounciation is tricky >.< Fëanor sounds so pretty pronounced properly... shame the character's such a dick.

^ Hehe. LOL I don't think it's bad you can. You should hear me quoting DMC or Fable. XD My muses either get a kick out of it or tell me to shut up. >_> =D Thank you! I'll have to go look on the Tolkien Gateway when I'm not on mum's computer. *can't wait to go hear them* Tbh, Marcus did the same over his real name. >_> He waited until I found something close to it, then went and teased me for not pronouncing it correctly. /== Friggen' muses.

lolol do your muses from each fandom find it annoying or do they get off on it? Whenever I quote large passages of The Hobbit Eldu professes to have a headache...
And maybe watching Pushing Daisies just before starting this fic was a bad idea: now Oropher sounds like Lee in my head. Oklahoma accent and all. Mind you my oc mc permanently sounds like Hiddles which is probably more worrying.
