This Glorious showcase sponsored by Lugnut. Name Shadow Blade Megatron Faction Decepticons Function Unstoppable Robot Fighter Motto Fear My Wrath! Bio In preparation for returning to space, MEGATRON repaints his armor. He prefers these colors, because they allow him to disappear against the dark background of outer space. There, his actions are made silent by the vacuum, and blackness hides his movements. Hidden in the dark, he seems to attack from nowhere. He is a ghost in the cosmos, striking down his enemies without hesitation, and without mercy. Galactic Powers and Abilities: * Swords absorb and redirect energy blasts. * Blades can cut through even the hardest armor * Fast enough to block or dodge lasers If you were to ask Megatron to describe himself in one word, he'd probably go with "heroic". He sees himself as a freedom fighter, leading the Decepticons out of the days of "Autobot tyranny". The fact he's hoping to replace that with Decepticon tyranny isn't really a concern. A fanatic at spark, he revels in every Autobot who suffers at Decepticon hands and doesn't register humans as anything more than "collateral damage." Megatron demands loyalty from the Decepticons, loyalty he gains by his awe-inspiring power. With the combined threat of a sharp mind, his fusion cannon, a pair of deadly swords and simple brute strength, there aren't many who'd dare cross him. Still, he has no problem manhandling troops as a gentle reminder. The loss of his body and former power was only a minor setback for him, as Megatron proved a master manipulator. He effortlessly duped Isaac Sumdac into helping him—and once Megatron was restored to full power, he turned the tables on his old captor. He is extremely intolerant of treachery and deals with said treacherous bots with a vicious no-nonsense efficiency, unlike other Decepticon leaders. He is also a shrewd strategist who effortlessly wraps others around his fingers. “ Decepticons... transform and rise up! ” —Megatron puts a new twist on an old saying, "Megatron Rising - Part 2" Eons ago, Megatron overthrew the Decepticon leader Megazarak and took control of the faction for himself. He gave speeches and wrote manifestos calling for the Decepticons to rise up and take control of both Cybertron and the AllSpark from the Autobots. Finally, on the Cycle of Infamy, he took the Decepticons from mere rhetoric to outright war. The Decepticons overran Autobot space but the Autobots under Ultra Magnus had one major advantage—space bridge technology, which allowed them to move about the galaxy more easily. The Decepticon advance ground to a halt. The AllSpark Almanac II However, Megatron's forces continued to fight on until the Autobots sent the AllSpark through the space bridge to random coordinates. Realizing that the AllSpark was the key to defeating the Autobots, Megatron abandoned the Cybertron theater and began searching the galaxy aboard his massive flagship, the Nemesis. Transform and Roll Out With the war going badly after this, Megatron tried a last-ditch attempt with the False Calm and sent his troops at sub-light speeds to Cybertron. During the Battle for Iacon, Megatron destroyed Gamma Supreme. Ultimately, the attack failed and the Decepticons were finally forced to agree to an armistice and exile. • Megatron's pre-Earth head has a rather pointed resemblance to the somewhat early head of 2007 movie's Megatron, which went unused in the actual movie but appeared on loads of promotional materials and merchandise. Also in common with Movie Megatron, Animated Megatron lay inert for many years while his technology was reverse-engineered by humans. • He is, additionally, not the only Megatron to spend time as a giant, disembodied head. • Megatron's cannon makes the same sound as his Generation 1 counterpart's weapon, except with additional effects mixed in to make it actually sound like a laser cannon and not a blender. • Megatron's outer space alt mode, shown for all of 20 seconds, has two toy molds devoted to it. Though these "Cybertron mode" toys resemble each other, neither looks anything like the alt mode of the pre-Earth Megatron seen on the show. • Megatron is the only one of the original 5 Decepticons in Animated actually to have a Cybertronian vehicle mode design. Although the others have different robot mode kibble before they scan their Earth modes, none of them had an alt-mode created. Having a toy helps. (This is in contrast to the Autobots, who all had Cybertronian-modes designed for them from the start, even if we didn't see them in the first episode.) • Sumdac found Megatron's head intact in its original Cybertronian mode. The head housed in his lab, however, is essentially a damaged version of his Earth-mode head. Presumably, this change is the result of Sumdac's destructive tinkering and research over the fifty years Megatron was in stasis lock. • According to The Allspark Almanac, Megatron's Earth mode cockpit seats five. • When he was a disembodied head, Megatron had a pupil in his right eye, similar to the Autobots. Once he regained his body, this never appeared again. Meagtron was given voice by Corey Burton for more information on him please see the Sunstreaker review. Here is the original Leader class Megatron, which sports a very G1 Color scheme Here are the Deluxe and Voyager class Cybertron mode Megtron Figures, the Deluxe class was only available in the battle begins 2 pack with a deluxe class Earth mode Optimus Prime. Deluxe: Voyager: Here is a Gold chrome Deluxe class Megatron that was the prize for a contest in Japan 1,000 were given away in that contest. Here is the activator class Megatron : Here is the sadly cancelled Maurader Megatron Figure, this was to be Megatron in the cancelled fourth season of Transformers animated. This is a resin model made a test bed for the figure. This is far from the first to not make it beyond this stage, many have not made it past an image on paper. Up next the young and brave leader of the earth based Autobots.

I really agree with Starscream. If only he could manage to change the Decepticon mindset and earn the respect, and love, of all the Decepticons, they would have won easily. But no... it seems the universe has dictated that everything will fall apart with the Decepticons and Starscream will forever be the punching bag.
Also... I wonder if gold plastic syndrome could be an actual Cybertronian disease. XD
And finally Megatron. GAH!!! My image of TFA Megatron is forever tarnished with... damnit! WHY?! *sobs* I guess it was forever meant to be and Shattered Glass really makes no difference. It's just the same darn people with different personalities. "Original" Megatron will forever be the evil and cruel bastard no matter what universe he is in. T-T I have a mind to march up to Hasbro and burn it all down.

Name Optimus Prime Faction Autobots Function Autobot Leader Motto While I function, Earth is under my protection Bio When Optimus Prime crashed to Earth with the rest of the Autobots, he didn't really know what it meant to be a hero. He spent most of his time in space dreaming of glory, but it wasn't until he was first faced with the terrible decisions that inevitably come with leadership that he finally understood. He became a true hero - a being who does what he does not for glory and fame, but because no-one else can do it. * Supplementary battle armor. * Rocket-assisted axe. * Grapnel launcher in arm. A washout from the Cybertron Elite Guard, Optimus Prime was reassigned to space bridge repair duty under the supervision of Ratchet. He is a relatively naive and idealistic young leader, prone to long-winded "inspirational" speeches who leads a small and inexperienced Autobot space bridge maintenance team. Recently, his crew has landed on Earth, adopted jobs as semi-official superheroes and currently live in an abandoned Sumdac Systems warehouse. Despite his humble "Bot Next Door" persona, he performs his job with a dedicated seriousness. He transforms into a red truck cab that can be fitted with many kinds of "trailer" attachments (most notably one that makes him look like a fire engine) and wields a kick-ass, rocket-propelled, extendable battle axe, as well as multiple arm mounted modifications, including grappler cables, fire extinguishers and bola-whip throwers. Despite his formidable abilities and skills, not everyone thought so highly of the young Prime. Sentinel Prime sneers at Optimus's lowly repair job, and Supreme Commander Ultra Magnus once held the young officer in low regard. More than anything, Prime wanted to be a hero. He's had the speeches, he had the moves...but what was he missing? Maybe The Touch? But since coming to Earth, Optimus has learned the truth about heroism. It's not about glory and destiny, it's about doing the right thing and going to your limit and beyond. Ratchet, for all his cynicism, knows that Prime is a hero, and after seeing him in action, Ultra Magnus himself admitted that Optimus has excellent leadership skills. So, this is what it feels like to be a hero...Optimus upon his death, "Transform and Roll Out" Optimus was washed out of the elite guard due an incident on Archa 7 an organic planet that had been declared off limits and an attavk by spider creatures caused whar appeared to be the death of Elita-1, while going there was Sentinel’s Idea Optimus as team leader took the blame and Sentinel was all too willing to let him take it and not mention the whole trip was his idea. Transformers Animated marks the first Time Optimus Prime wasn’t the overall leader of the Autobots, He is much like Optimus Primal in that he leads just a small squad of Autobots sent out on a mission that should not have involved combat but ending up doing something quite different. The twin cylinder-shaped protrusions connected to Optimus's small antennae are inspired by the head design of the 2007 movie rendition of Optimus Prime, as opposed to the traditional single cylinder. Optimus Prime features design elements from two different incarnations of Optimus Primal. The "skin" color of his face (and to a lesser extent, the presence of a retractable faceplate) is taken from Primal's first Beast Wars body, while the way his lips are drawn is inspired by Primal's Beast Machines body. Derrick J. Wyatt thought since Prime is more of an inexperienced leader, he wanted to infuse some elements from Primal's design, who had a similar role in his series. His chest windows resemble those of Star Convoy, the incarnation of Optimus in Return of Convoy, while his jetpack wings look like God Ginrai's. His Cybertronic form, on the other hand, bears a strong resemblance to Orion Pax. The toy takes this even further, with large shoulder-mounted wheels that also pay homage to Optronix. Optimus was killed off after only one episode (three if you want to get technical) and revived 1 minute and 15 seconds later. That's gotta be a new record. At the end of "Transform and Roll Out", Prime's spark is contained in the same place ordinarily reserved for the Matrix in other continuities. Despite nominally being a fire truck, Prime's alt mode features a detachable cab that can mount a number of different trailers, such as a lookalike of Generation 1 Optimus's trailer and a dump truck. Presumably, this would make his alt mode not a fire truck, but a semi-truck outfitted as a fire truck. Score one for the old fans! Like his Generation 1 counterpart, this Optimus's trailer almost invariably disappears COMPLETELY when he transforms, assuming it's there to begin with. This even happens when it isn't his trailer, such as in "Garbage In, Garbage Out". Even Prime himself is just as confused as to where it goes, as evidenced by "Career Day". Subspace shunting? Unicron Singularity? Or...something more? Optimus Prime's bio on his Happy Meal toy at McDonald's says he is a FIRE TRUCK CAB. To date, none of Optimus' toys come with his trademark 'grappler launcher' weapons. None ever did sadly. According to the packaging call-outs for Cybertron Mode, DVD two-pack and Voyager Optimus Prime, his weapon is an "Ion-Axe" (or "Ion Axe"). However, on Roll Out Command Optimus Prime, Optimus's weapon is an "Ultra-Axe". The AllSpark Almanac labels it a Solitarium weapon. The Japanese dub not only embraced the term "Ultra-Axe", but also added the "Ultra-" prefix to Prime's net (now the "Ultra-Net"), grappling hook (the "Ultra-Anchor"), and... jumping ability ("Ultra-Jump"). TakaraTomy marketing director, Masahiko Yamazaki, has claimed that the Japanese version of Transformers Animated takes place within the continuity of the live-action film franchise, thus making Animated Optimus Prime the same character as Movie Optimus Prime. Some of Yamazaki's other statements regarding this have been contradicted (primarily regarding Bulkhead), so take with a grain of salt. O.o this guy has to be insane….. A round of punny Japanese. During the "next episode" preview at the end of "A New Chapter! Transformers", Bumblebee complains that the name "Oputimasu Puraimu" (as the natives pronounce it) is too long and difficult to remember. His renaming suggestions include: "Convoy", "Oputi", "Opura", and "Pupu". Obviously, Optimus rejects all of them, saying that "Oputi" is more suited for a cute dog, "Opura" just sounds weird, and "Pupu", while cute, would be hard not to laugh at. Optimus Prime was voiced by David Kaye for more information him please see the Beast Wars Megatron Review. Here is the Deluxe class earth mode Optimus from the battle Begins two pack: And the gold chromed lucky draw prize version : The Voyager class Earth Mode Optimus Prime: The Black version of the Voyager Optimus prime, a very limited edition figure of which just 300 were produced. This figure has been repurposed as Animated Nemesis Prime. Elite Guard Optimus prime, yet another limited edtion Japan only figure. The Wingblade Optimus Prime available only in Japan as Hasbro cancelled its release in its markets Roll out command Optimus Prime, TFA’s supreme class figure, many collectors rightfull bemoan this figure as costing us a figure of animated Omega Supreme. And lastly the never used Powermaster concept for Optimus Prime as seen in the pages of the All spark almanac. Up next Is a Decepticon who you do not wish to have poke you.

I... finally read through it all. @_@ A feat given that I just finished reading through a science article. I always found TFA OP lovable. MUCH MORE BETTER THAN DARN BAY-OP, the murderous bastard. Masahiko Yamazaki, you crazy man. I hope that you were only joking because heads will roll if my lovely TFA was ever related to that pile of crap of a live-action Transformers film. I will murder someone. I found the Japanese TFA hilarious. XD I knew about the "Pupu" part, it would have been awesome if they somehow shared that in the English version. XD AND DARN YOU HASBRO!!! WIngblade OP is fabulous! : O

Okay showcase time just don't get P.O.K.E'd Name Lugnut Faction Decepticons Function Decepticon Thug Motto All hail mighty MEGATRON! Bio LUGNUT has absolute faith in MEGATRON, and that makes him one of the most dangerous DECEPTICONS. He is fanatic in his support of the DECEPTICON cause, and unquestioning in following the orders of his commander. His dedication is backed up by incredible strength, and fighting skills that led to him be feared and respected across Cybertron. Each punch from his powerful hands carries the force of a small bomb, so the only way to survive a fight with him is to avoid ever letting him hit you. Unfortunately, he's almost as fast as he is strong. * Known as the "Kaon Krusher" on Cybertron * Mace is powered by a star core. * Learned dirty fighting in the Grand Arena. If mighty Megatron were to command Lugnut to jump, the powerful Decepticon would be in the upper atmosphere long before his master could specify how high. In Lugnut's optics, bold, heroic Megatron embodies the Decepticon cause, and his devotion is total. It's easy to misinterpret Lugnut’s blind zeal for a lack of overall processing power, but this is not the case. Although he isn't much of a thinker or planner, Lugnut does not care, for wise Megatron is brilliant enough for a thousand Decepticons. His master makes the plans, and Lugnut carries them out. However, that blind loyalty is his weakness. Although innovative on the battle field, he does little thinking about anything else. Besides his compulsion to serve Megatron, the only other driving force in his programming is to destroy the Autobots. Renowned throughout Cybertron as one of the most destructive fighters for the Decepticon cause, Lugnut has no time or patience for contemplation or strategy when he could just as easily level an entire Autobot battalion with a single explosive punch. He knows that his unparalleled strength, endurance, and seemingly limitless missile payload is enough to serve glorious, bold, fresh-scented, bright and shiny MEGATRON! Autobots that know him know the only way to survive a fight with him is to stay clear of his path. He will only keep company with Decepticons who are as loyal to the grand and imperious Megatron as he is. Traitors and disgraces such as Starscream and Lockdown are not worthy of mention, let alone being in the presence of the glorious Megatron. Granted, even magnanimous Megatron himself can get a little tired of Lugnut's praises, but he keeps it to himself, lest Lugnut should lose faith in mighty Megatron. He is also Strika's "consort", whatever that means. The Punch of Kill Everything, or The POKE, is Lugnut's trump card. By retracting his "hand" and replacing it with a pressure-sensitive pad, Lugnut can devastate any opponent near him by slamming it into the ground. As long as the move is completed, the shock wave doesn't affect Lugnut or those near him, although it can rattle their circuits a bit. Unfortunately, if the trigger is activated prematurely, the move has a tendency to backfire, the force hitting Lugnut instead. Ouch. I've told you once, I've told you a thousand times: GIVE ME SOME WARNING BEFORE YOU USE THE PUNCH! Hothead Blitzwing, sick of being buried alive, "Lost and Found" • Lugnut's name derives from an earlier stage in his development; at one point he was going to be more Frankenstein's Monster-esque, with giant bolts (or "nuts") sticking out from his neck. While this concept was effectively discarded, the character kept "Lugnut" for his final name... but it works well enough on its own, as he is a big lug and a bit of a nut. • Of the five main Animated Decepticons, Lugnut is the only one without a "counterpart" from a prior series. • According to the Decepticon character descriptions sent out in the initial Cartoon Network press release for Transformers Animated, Lugnut "carries a payload of mega-bombs and can spew liquid napalm with laser-like accuracy". Alas, his napalm-spewing ability hasn't shown up anywhere. The bio on the Latin America McDonald's website used this character description as well when promoting his toy. • Derrick Wyatt and Marty Isenberg admitted at BotCon 2008 that they didn't know that Lugnut's toy had the battle mace, as it was a Hasbro creation. Once they learned of its existence, they slipped it into season 2, and it makes its only appearance in "Garbage In, Garbage Out". • At Botcon 2008, Marty Isenberg took a liking to the term Punch of Kill Everything used in the fandom to refer to Lugnut's attack, and said he would find a way to work it in. Sure enough, in the comic The Arrival #4 penned by Isenberg, Lugnut's attack was named as such. • The four small red dots (two to either side) on Lugnut's head, according to the series' creators, are secondary optics. This means Lugnut actually has five eyes, rather than the one he appears to have at a casual glance. • According to his on-package bio, Lugnut is known as the 'Kaon Krusher'. • In the Japanese dub of Animated, Lugnut has a verbal tic where he adds the syllable "ttsu" (ッツ) to the ends of most of his sentences. In the intro voiceover for "Three's a Crowd", he explains that he simply does this "because [I'm] Lugnut", as in Japanese, his name is pronounced "ragunattsu". • In his Cybertronian body, Lugnut's elbow transformed, revealing a rocket nozzle to slam the arm into the ground. This hasn't been seen since he took his Earth body, although since then, he's rarely succeeded in using the thing at all. • At Botcon 2008, Marty Isenberg took a liking to the term Punch of Kill Everything used in the fandom to refer to Lugnut's attack, and said he would find a way to work it in. Sure enough, in the comic The Arrival #4 penned by Isenberg, Lugnut's attack was canonized and named as such. • The model sheet name for The Punch is "Explosive Punch". • In spite of its evocative name, we have not yet in fact witnessed the "Punch of Kill Everything" actually kill anything. • The Punch of Kill Everything is useful for making a swimming pool. When Blitzwing contracted Lockdown to captures the Autobot who destroyed Megatron , his price was Lugnut’s P.O.K.E. Also Swindle apparently keeps them in stock as evidenced on the episode Decepticon Air. Lugnut also has issues with Blitzwing more so with his random personality that the other two. Here is Lugnut’s one repaint Atomic Lugnut: Lugnut was given voice by David Kaye for more information see the Beast Wars Megatron showcase.

ALL HAIL THE GLORIOUS MEGATRON FOR HE IS... GLORIOUS! *spies a dissenter* PRIASE MEGATRON OR FACE THE P.O.K.E.!
Ah... I love Lugnut. XD He, along with Blitzwing, were the perfect pair. Not so much combat-wise. XP Maybe beneath his zeal and straightforward mannerism holds a very gifted and intelligent mind that was easily awed by Megatron. I can see Skipbeat being welcomed in Lugnut's presence as the two of them are deeply loyal to the Decepticon cause and Megatron. XD

Name Samurai Prowl Faction Autobots Function Autobot Spy Motto The road to enlightenment is paved with deactivated enemies. Bio With Lockdown returning again and again to plague the Autobots, Prowl is determined to take him down, once and for all. To combat the Decepticon bounty hunter, he upgrades his body to its ultimate limit, adding weapons and armor until nothing Lockdown can do will stop him. * Dedicated to the defense of the weak. * New armor can deflect blades and high-intensity lasers. * Can disable most machines with a single blow. Some people are team players, and some... well, aren't. Prowl falls into the latter category. A loner at heart, he has little interest in teamwork, something Optimus Prime finds extremely frustrating. Prowl feels cooperation with the loud and unsubtle Autobots around him would cramp his style: a keen Cyber-Ninja prowess with elements of Circuit-Su and Metallikato. Seemingly bound up in his martial-arts philosophy is his deep, deep fascination with Earth's natural environment. His quarters on Earth is missing most of its ceiling, allowing him a permanent window into nature. In fact, he seems to have a deeper appreciation of his new surroundings than the humans who grew up with them. The phrase "stop and smell the roses" is a life truth for Prowl, and he can spend hours motionless, watching the organic world play out around him. When called to battle, Prowl uses an array of throwing weapons, such as cutting discs, that he can hurl with high accuracy. While useful as projectiles, these weapons tend to be far more damaging at close range and will occasionally bounce off their target with little damage if thrown from too great a distance. He can project holograms of himself, using them to misdirect his enemies. He is also the only member of his team with a jetpack, granting him limited flight. Prowl is probably the most skilled fighter of his comrades, but this might not be saying much, as they were a mere space bridge repair crew before finding themselves suddenly defending the AllSpark against the resurgent Decepticons. In fact, Jazz, witnessing him in action, remarked that Prowl must not have finished his cyber ninja training. The true story is more complex: having failed to protect the infant protoforms, Prowl ended his studies in disgrace, seeking to commune with the Allspark. His quest for redemption and inner peace has ended in failure...so far. A young Prowl tried to avoid being drafted into fighting in the Great War but was apprehended by Warpath and taken to Yoketron. Seeing potential in the young bot, Yoketron offered to teach Prowl in exchange for having the charges against him dropped. Under Yoketron's guidance, Prowl's fighting skills vastly improved over time, until Yoketron deemed him worthy to be a Cyber-Ninja and rewarded him with two shurikens. Yoketron showed Prowl a hidden room in the dojo, accessed via a secret door opened by processor-over-matter. Entering the hidden chamber, Prowl learned from Yoketron that the mission of the Cyber-Ninja Corps was to protect the protoforms in the room, lest they be needed to fight against the Decepticons if Project Omega failed. Exiting the room, Prowl was unable to complete the Yoketron's request to close the door with his mind. Prowl was thus sent on an optics quest to master the skill and be a true Cyber-Ninja. Some time later, having not yet succeeded, Prowl returned to Yoketron's dojo, only to find it in ruin and his master beaten to near-death. Panicked, Prowl managed to find one protoform and transferred Yoketron's spark into it. However, all he had done was make his master unhappy by sacrificing a little of the future to save the past. Assured by Yoketron that he would understand some day Prowl watched his sensei's spark expire and mourned his loss In the final episode of Transformers animated Prowl sacrificed his spark to complete the all-Spark and save the people of Detroit, His death touched millions of Transformers fans around the world and is arguably the second most heartfelt loss ever with Dinobot’s death in the Beast Wars’ episode Code of hero being regarded as more emotional. • Prowl's eyes are a reference to 2000 AD's ABC Warriors. • Prowl's general robot mode design, down to his khaki legs, tall boots, and helmet-shaped head, is meant to evoke a California Highway Patrol motorcycle cop, circa CHiPs. Eat your heart out, Erik Estrada. • Despite his alternate mode being the smallest among the core cast, Prowl's robot mode is about the same height as Ratchet's, and much taller than Bumblebee's. • Since he was in the AllSpark energy and able to save Optimus Prime after he relinquished his spark he seems to have fused with it much like Alpha Trion and Vector Sigma. It also seems possible that his spark, rather than truly being extinguished has fused with the AllSpark since he did appear as a spark ghost. • Amazingly, Hasbro hadn't originally intended to make a Samurai Prowl toy until one of their team saw the episode. The on-show introduction of the samurai armor certainly wasn't your typical marketing vehicle, considering Prowl's speech about how he didn't need the armor after all and everybody crediting him with a wise choice when he abandoned and destroyed it. • Prowl's retractable mouthplate was inspired by Snake-Eyes from G.I. Joe. • When asked about the possibility of Prowl returning, Derrick J. Wyatt said that immediately after Prowl's funeral, his body would be ceremoniously melted down into raw material for new protoforms. • Prowl shares his body-type with fellow Autobots Horsepower and Sparkride. Here is Prowl’s original toy, its of note that the samurai version doesn’t have the Ninja stars. Here is the legends class figure: Here is the limited edition Elite Guard prowl: Overall Prowl is judged by collectors to be one of the finest if not the finest Transformers figure with a Motorcycle altmode. Prowl was given voice by Jeffrey Glen Bennett an American voice actor. One of the more popular voice actors out there, Jeff Bennett has been a consistent performer on various productions since the early 1990s. Some of his most notable roles include Kyle Katarn from the 2000s Star Wars: Jedi Knight games from LucasArts, Owen and Brooklyn on Disney's Gargoyles, the title character from Johnny Bravo, Blitz from Road Rovers, Dexter's Dad from Dexter's Laboratory, Strakk and Tarix in Bionicle: The Legend Reborn, XPlode on Lego: Hero Factory, The Joker and Captain Marvel in Batman: The Brave and the Bold, and the Huntsman, Lord Bravery and Candlejack from Freakazoid! among others. He also voiced these other Animated chatacters: • Angry Archer • Captain Fanzone • Grandus • Mixmaster • Soundwave • Sound Wave • Ultra Magnus Up next is an infamous bounty hunter who will take any job for the right upgrades.

I got those while making the showcase. it was truly a sad and emotional event. Now on to the next showcase and please keep an eye on your upgrades around this one. Name Lockdown Faction Decepticons Function Decepticon Bounty Hunter Motto Run all you want. It'll make the chase more fun. Bio Lockdown could care less about Megatron and his grand goals of universal domination. He's in this game for upgrades, pure and simple, and he wears the Decepticon badge because they're the ones who can get him the systems he wants. For the right price he'll hunt down any target and bring it in - functioning or not. As a bonus, every new target means a new trophy for his workshop wall. He enjoys his work, and he's traveled from one end of the universe to the other doing it, which is why he's got a collection of weapons and functions second to none. * Can track a target even across light years. * EMP Blaster shuts down most robotic circuitry. * Once a target is locked, he always catches it. Driven by the thrill of the chase, Lockdown is a bounty hunter by choice and a Decepticon only by necessity. He's got no real loyalty towards Megatron, but the Decepticons always pay on time, better than the Elite Guard, and allow him access to the systems upgrades he craves. Besides that, he's such a nasty piece of work that it's just easier for him to be a 'Con. Lockdown has a grisly habit of collecting "trophies" from his victims for his own use. He has attached a number of parts that appear to be stolen, such as his hook, chainsaw weapons, and parts of his left leg. His collection of stolen gadgets include quick-hardening cement spray, smoke bombs, and Ratchet's EMP generator. The Autobots consider his actions appalling, while Lugnut views his mercenary ways an insult to the Decepticon cause, but Lockdown doesn't care. As long as Megatron and the Decepticon leadership will give him his upgrades, Lockdown will get the job done. Lockdown has a history with Ratchet and in the allspark almanac call him Cool hand lube , a reference to the Steve Queen movie Cool Hand Luke, G1 Ratchet had the same nickname. Lockdown is not a Decepticon , he was an Autobot and a Cyberninja Dojo washout, In fact he killed his former master Yoketron. This would later bring him into conflict with Prowl. He was once hired during the war to bring in an Autobot intelligence agent, Arcee but he was foiled in this by Ratchet. Lockdown will work for anyone who can pay him in the right upgrades which is most often the Deceptions. Which is why the toy is marketed as such. The Emp device from the Lockdown figure can be attached to TFA Ratchet. Lockdown is one of the tallest Deluxe class figure Hasbro has ever produced, he is just a shade shorter than the leader class Megatron. • According to Derrick Wyatt's blog, his original concept for Lockdown was as a freakish Frankenstein-like monster. It was altered to better fit Lockdown's more business-like nature.[1] Lockdown's final model is "reminiscent of skull like head and an undertaker's tux"[sic] —hey, he even has coat-tails![2] • Meanwhile, Wyatt has explicitly said that Lockdown is not based on Death's Head. The older bounty hunter's name was, however, later used for Lockdown's starship. • The cartoon model for Lockdown shows an amusing homage to the older toys. Instead of the ordinary Decepticon symbol seen on the toy, the animated version's chest carries what appears to be a rubsign, presumably to symbolize the character's lack of allegiance to any faction. • Lockdown's allegiance, in fact, seems to be more than meets the eye. Lockdown has stated outright that he isn't a Decepticon—and according to Derrick Wyatt, no Decepticon ever trained at Master Yoketron's dojo.[3] Combined with the fact that his concept design featured a stolen part whose Decepticon symbol had been crossed out, the evidence strongly points to Lockdown as having been a former Autobot. Lockdown's profile in The AllSpark Almanac also supports this: Prowl "writes" that he suspects Lockdown to have been an Autobot, based on his size, powers, and car-based altmode. In The Stunti-Con Job, Wildrider is seen with the same body-type as Lockdown, and all of the Stunticons were said to have taken on Autobot shells for their mission, further pointing to Lockdown being a former Autobot. • According to the Decepticon character descriptions sent out in the original Cartoon Network press release for Transformers Animated, Lockdown "can go into a Predator-like stealth mode for brief periods". Thus far, he has never been shown to do this in fiction, although the idea seems to have been the basis for the Stealth Lockdown toy—whose bio further cemented the Predator connection by saying his "active camo shorts out in rain". • Speaking of the Stealth Lockdown toy, it appears to have been changed a bit between concept and release. The version of the toy depicted on the back of the box's packaging is completely transparent, as opposed to the final toy's translucent-but-smokey coloration. • In his debut episode, Lockdown's original arm (the one currently outfitted with his hook) came equipped with a rocket powered fist. This weapon has not been seen since, neither on the show nor in toy form. • His toy's vehicle mode is adorable yet terrifying. Like if Cars had a serial-killer character. • Despite having lost the EMP generator, Lockdown retains the external engine it comprises in his vehicle mode, as seen in "A Fistful of Energon". Perhaps he found a substitute or a replacement? • The interior of Lockdown's vehicle mode sports a chain-steering wheel and a skull on the gear stick. Now that's hardcore. The skull gear stick was even immortalized in toy form: It's molded on the interior of the Bumper Battles figure. • Lockdown was responsible for breaking off Ratchet's right-hand chevron, but it would appear that he wasn't the first. • Although it initially seemed that Lockdown had not scanned a local Earth altmode, he was shown doing so in a comic immediately prior to the events shown in "The Thrill of the Hunt". This is slightly confusing though, since the Great War flashbacks in "Thrill" do seem to show Lockdown using the same muscle car altmode he would later adopt Earthside—but to be fair, the scene was quite dark. He must have just scanned an extremely similar new form. Shrug. Here is the Blazing repaint of Lockdown, his hook is replaced with a chainsaw. Here is the Stealth Lockdown figure completely molded in a translucent plastic. Here is the Activators Lockdown , it isn't a very good figure. Lockdown was voiced by Lance Henriksen an American actor best known for his role as the android Bishop in the Alien film series. He also had notable roles in The Terminator, the TV series Millennium, the spokesman in the Visa commercials, and a bazillion b-movies. He has also dabbled in voice acting, most notably as Brainiac in Superman: Brainiac Attacks, Kerchak in Disney's Tarzan, and the Grim Reaper in Avengers: Earth's Mightiest Heroes. Recently, Henriksen has lent his voice to Activision's video game juggernaut Call of Duty: Modern Warfare 2 alongside Keith David and Glenn Morshower, as well as Electronic Arts' Mass Effect, also with David. He also starred in Alien vs. Predator, in which his character was killed by a Predator. Up next a grizzled old Autobot medic.

I believe there is a flaw in the statement that Lockdown always tracks and brings his targets. XD Optimus is probably a great example, so is Arcee. XD

Indeed and today's showcase is very much responsible for both of those failures. Name Autobot Ratchet Faction Autobots Motto Hold Still. This won’t hurt a bit. Bio Autobot Ratchet was, at one time, one of the most promising medical minds on Cybertron. After his experiences with Lockdown, though, all he wanted to do was disappear. An assignment to a deep space repair crew was just what he was looking for. He never wanted to be in the middle of a new war against Megatron, but if that's where fate puts him, he'll do his best to keep his comrades safe and sound. * Huge array of surgical and mechanical tools. * Once considered most talented medic on CYBERTRON. * Trained at Protihex Medical Mechanics University. Before the Great Wars, Ratchet was a civilian mechanic, and one of the best on all of Cybertron. But war is hell, and Ratchet learned that all too well. It left him bitter and cynical. After the war, he got himself placed in a dead end position of repairing space bridges, seeing it as a chance to get away from what he had experienced. And in his experience, "hero" is another word for casualty, because that's what most of the heroes ended up being. Still, he knows one when he sees it, and Optimus Prime definitely is one. His main "weapons" are two electromagnets that can extend from his forearms. With them, he can move metal-based objects, levitate downward from high heights, manipulate or tear apart metallic objects in midair, or create magnetic shields. More recently, he won his electromagnetic pulse generator back from Lockdown the bounty hunter, a device capable of knocking out a Transformer. He enjoys grumbling about almost everything, being sarcastic, and having war flashbacks, just like any old man. Ratchet was sent by Ultra Magnus on a wartime mission to recover Autobot intelligence officer Arcee, who was carrying important security codes in her memory core. Shortly after he found her, the pair were captured by the Decepticon-affiliated bounty hunter Lockdown. The hunter made a habit of collecting the powers of defeated enemies as trophies and did so with Ratchet's medical EMP device. Before he could attach it, Arcee was able to pass the device to Ratchet, and she begged him to use it on her to wipe the codes and preserve their safety. In the ensuing skirmish with Lockdown, the device accidentally produced a wider blast, erasing Arcee's entire memory. Ratchet would have flashbacks of the incident for centuries to come. At a certain point, Ratchet was ordered by Ultra Magnus to perform open processor surgery on Arcee to retrieve the access codes. As the operation began, Arcee uploaded the codes into Ratchet's processor, so he was conducted to a secret hangar and introduced to Project Omega a.k.a. Omega Supreme. Perceptor, along with Highbrow and Ultra Magnus, explained that Omega was the Autobots' last line of defense against the Decepticons and that the codes that Arcee was carrying were for Omega's activation. Arcee was supposed to be Omega's mentor to imprint upon and take orders from, but now Ratchet had inherited her role. Hearing that Omega had been built with a simple processor in order to carry out his duties with no remorse, Ratchet refused to teach him to be a weapon of mass destruction and instead tried to instruct him to be an Autobot. • The Autobot medical officer was originally conceived as a female robot named Red Alert. Even after it was decided to make the character male later in development, he retained the name "Red Alert" until executive producer Sam Register was able to convince Hasbro that "Ratchet" was a more identifable name for the character. Because of this, Ratchet's final design carries influences from various Red Alert incarnations. In particular, Derrick Wyatt was inspired by the box art for G1 Red Alert's Binaltech Asterisk incarnation. • The "war wound" on his left arm (seen in his main picture, above) was briefly gone after "The Thrill of the Hunt", apparently representing the replacement of his arm-mounted EMP generator. However, it has since returned in several instances. The "real world" reason is probably the animators sticking to the original animation model. Within story context, he apparently didn't carry the EMP generator around as standard until "TransWarped", when Prowl (who borrowed it once before) notes that he hadn't "taken it into battle since [he] got it back from Lockdown." It later emerges from the wound in "Endgame, Part II". • There is a potential contradiction between "The Thrill of the Hunt" and "'Bots of Science", as both stories depict Ratchet's right-hand chevron being broken off - by Lockdown's haymaker in the former and Oil Slick's roundhouse in the latter. This could be a continuity error, or it could be the case that Ratchet had his chevron broken on one occasion, repaired it, and then after it was broken a second time he allowed it to remain broken. It would certainly appear that the comic story took place before the Lockdown encounter, since Ratchet still has his EMP generator in Bots of Science. Curiously though, Ratchet's chevron is shown to already have some kind of crack or weld-line running across it prior to Oil Slick's kick, which could indicate that it was already on the verge of breaking. • The toys of Animated Ratchet, Generation 1 Ratchet and Movie Ratchet are caught in a web of cross-referencing redecos: o In 2008, the original Generation 1 Ratchet mold got a green redeco as "Ratchet Emergency Green" in obvious reference to his yellowy-green movie cousin. o About the same time, two of movie Ratchet's toys got a red and white ambulance redeco as "Rescue Ratchet" to ape Generation 1 Ratchet. o Animated Ratchet, his original design already referencing both predecessors with Generation 1 Ratchet's chevron and coloring and movie Ratchet's squiggly EEG symbol, had a further homage to the latter with a yellow redeco as (another) "Rescue Ratchet". You'd think they'd all be too busy patching up wounded 'bots to get so much personal detailing done. • He can pinch with his magnet-clamps. • He has microscope lenses which can be activated in either eye. • His windshield chest can act as an image projector in robot mode. This Is Why I Hate Machines • In the Japanese dub, he apparently speaks with a Kagoshima dialect. • Ratchet wears the 256-OZU-004 body-type. Ratchet was voiced by Corey burton please see the Sunstreaker showcase for details on his career. My Ratchet was found abandoned in a parking lot and as such is missing his tools. Here is the rescue Ratchet repaint: Here is the activators Ratchet: Here is the Cybertron Mode Ratchet a Toys R us Exclusive in the US. Up Next is an infamous Decepticon undercover agent and the one thing Animated Ultra Magnus could not deal with.

Ah yes, Ratchet. Always seems to remind me humorously of the "stereotypical" perceptions people had of old Vietname veterans, although they're nothing to laugh about. I really enjoyed and sympathized him to the point that I wanted to give him a hug and comfort him. Or maybe he and Skipbeat meet since Skip is of a bit veteran, just younger than him by... well... a lot. XD
Hahaha. Imagine if he used him motto on Skip. I'm sure he's done it to Bumblebee and cause a bit of discomfort. XP
