Nyala weaved around the fast growing group. It would be so much easier to speak to the pair heading towards them, to intercept them.
She ran a little, darted into their path, and stopped a few yards ahead of them. She smiled, trying to make her seven feet a little smaller, and failing miserably. Instead, she pressed herself against a tree, the rough bark familiar and comforting. She stroked it a little, hands behind her back, and coughed, just in case she hadn't been noticed.
"Hello," the dryad held up her hand and wiggled her fingers in an almost hesitant wave, "Sorry to intrude, but do you know where we are? I'm a little lost, and a long way from home."
She smiled again, for good measure, and hoped her first impressions were improving.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ Yeah, it's plain to see that baby you're beautiful and there's nothing with you; It's me - I'm a freak but thanks for loving me 'cause you're doing it perfectly "Once in a lifetime, Glitter?" Adam asked, lips twitching as he relaxed into the scent that was wholly Kurt (heady, tempting, the need rose in him, stronger, more powerful - just take it, it's yours, all yours, he'll let you, he won't care-).
He tensed and subtly shifted away from Kurt, gaze flickering to the rest of the muses, some of whom he didn't recognize (okay, most). He's not sure if he's met any of them before... If only he could remember.
"Sounded like fun," Zach said, eyes flickering to Kurt, sparkling with amusement. Adam glanced at him, once again disconcerted by the glittering green that seemed so alien to him. Zach didn't seem to notice his look, tension having slipped off his shoulders in Tommy's presence. "How long did it take you, Kurt? Half an hour? Three?" His tone turned teasing as he turned to Tommy, a fond look on his face, lips curved. "Did you threaten his guitars?" Loki let out a snort at that, probably amused. Glancing at him, Adam noticed that his eyes were flickering amongst the others, interested and sparkling wickedly. Adam made a mental note to keep an eye on him.
Out of the corner of his eye, Adam spotted Cinna glancing at Kurt and giving him a small if slightly weak smile before turning back to the others. The slight man returned his gaze to the other muses before appearing to take a deep breath and moving over to an auburn-haired woman, presumably to introduce himself... the woman looked familiar but why can't he put a name to her face?
Frustrated, he glanced at Callier and the other one, whatever his name was before looking down at Kurt. "What was that about wearing black?" he wanted to know.------------------------------------------------------------------------

Something has changed within me Something is not the same I'm through with playing by the rules Of someone else's gameKurt laughed as Tommy poked his tongue out at Adam by way of reply, trying not to feel hurt when the tall singer shifted his weight subtly away. He understood, but it was hard not to push anyway. Instead he swung their joined hands slightly in compensation and smiled easily up at Zach.
"I'm pretty sure I wouldn't be here if I'd threatened his guitars." He countered. "I'm just a naturally persuasive person." He looked up as Adam's attention shifted back to him."Oh." He laughed. "It's autumn. I feel out of place in black." So if you care to find me Look to the western sky! As someone told me lately: "Ev'ryone deserves the chance to fly!"

Ascatal moved along the path silently as only an elf can do, his clothing aided him greatly in blending in so he was neither seen or heard as he approached the nearest voices.
" Their are two human girls, one very young, maybe 6 summers 7 at the most, the other is older, maybe 14 summers, hard to be certain with females around that age, the changes are subtle. They seem to be lost as we are, i think we should go to them and offer to join then, I feel it would be best that such young ones are protected from what dangers remain unseen in this forest" Ascatal whispered as he stood studying the pair thinking were they elf maids they would be kept guarded when out on a walk in the forest and the youngest of the pair would not be allowed out at all as in elvish reckoning she would be little more than an infant.
" I agree, but i have a feeling they are not so helpless as they would appear to be, not sure why . call it a fairy's intuition " Emmy replied just as silently
Ascatal nodded and walk out into the open and looked at the girls and said in a warm tone" greetings young ones, are you also lost in this forest, if so may I advise the four of us travel together for safety?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm not always like this, it's something I've become A terrible weakness, in my nature, in my blood Save me, oh save me, save me from myself before I hurt somebody else again Zach's lips twitched again, unconsciously orienting on Tommy before looking around them. Everything that seemed so dangerous before now was not unlike a basketful of kittens. Not for the first time he wondered what exactly being a bound entails, and what it took away.
Turning his gaze on what appeared to be a white-haired Elf, Zach took a moment to study him before politely saying,"Greetings, Elf." Remembering Phoenix, he added curiously, "Is this your home, or is it home of someone else?" If it was the Elf's, then (but this depends on the Elf himself... he could be as bad as Phoenix) maybe it's not quite as dangerous as it would have been if it's Phoenix's, and he wouldn't have to stick so close to Tommy-
What am I thinking? he wondered, shaking his head to clear the desperately clingy thoughts. In his head he could clearly hear his father saying: Grow up, Zachariah.
He bit back a scowl and focussed instead on the young Elf, but it proved a difficult task with his newfound instincts pushing him to demand attention from Tommy and pulling him to hide from Adam, and then there were the possible dangers that he couldn't seem to make himself care about now that he's safe, protected-
Zach dropped his head and, though he told himself to do otherwise, stepped closer to Tommy, half-listening to Adam speaking softly to Kurt, tone amused.------------------------------------------------------------------------

Lovai span round and looked up into the tall man's eyes. "Well met," he said, dipping his head and still a little flustered. "No, sir, this forest isn't my home. No one lives here, though," he added, remembering the many tracks he had seen on his lonely travels just now, "one cannot say that nothing does. The forest is owned by an Elf I know as Eldu but it seems everyone else calls him something else." He bit his lip, wondering how to describe the muse in a good light.
"He's... average height for a man but short for an Elf, has very fair skin, golden hair and sapphire eyes and goes round wearing a sour lemon expression. He is also just about the haugtiest and lest trusting person I have ever met." And one of the fairest he mentally added. He blinked up at the man, wondering if he knew him or required more information.

Nyala smiled at the man. Young. So very young. He wouldn't know if she just... but that would not be the right thing to do. You can't just enter someone else's mind.
A hand on the arm and she would be in. So easy.
Or she could practice her social skills. She tried another smile.
"I'm Nyala. Do you have any idea where we are?" Her voice was laced with the sound of whispering leaves, and the formation of the words was a little off key, as if she was not quite fluent.

Violette swung her feet to and fro. The log she was sitting on had barely began to rot. The brunette turned to look at the little girl splashing about in the shallow creek. Violette smiled a little. The mischievous little princess never forgot to wear her swimsuit below her dress. She shook her head as she began folding Eva’s yellow sundress. She let out a quiet sigh. There were others in the forest as well. The teen pursed her lips. She hoped they won’t be meeting any of the other visitors soon. Too much company was never good. The noise was bound to attract predators or worse.
"Greetings young ones, are you also lost in this forest, if so may I advise the four of us travel together for safety?"
Purple eyes narrowed as they home in on the stranger approaching them. Violette debated about reaching behind and drawing her sheathed dagger. The odd looking man didn’t sound hostile, but she wasn’t keen to take any chances. Most of the words had washed over her, and it made her even more tensed. Out of the corner of her eye, the fourteen-year-old noticed a silvery white blur approaching the man. She tried to reach down to grab Eva, but she was too slow.
The six-year-old bounded over to Ascatal and smiled. Eva’s eyes twinkled happily as she studied what appeared to be an Elf. He reminded her of Ruc and Phoenix.
“We are not toys, so we can’t be lost,” she answered cheerfully.
“Vylette took me out for a walk. Mummy was busy with the Darus.”
The brown haired teen folded her arms and shot the younger girl a stern look. Much to her disappointment, her young charge didn’t seem to notice. Violette decided to glower at the pointy eared stranger instead. She couldn’t decide if he was merely theatrical and effeminate, or simply someone of the same species as the one called Rucran. She had never seen ears quite as pointy as Ascatal’s before. The nymph-like girl arched her eyebrow slightly when she caught sight of what appeared to be a tiny girl with butterfly wings. How odd. Yet another new species she had never seen before. She secretly wondered if she’ll ever get used to the Realm.
The older girl gave a soundless start as a tiny hand tapped her arm. Violette stuck her tongue out at Eva. The little girl merely grinned in response. Slowly, Eva tiptoed and whispered something into her babysitter’s ear. Violette rolled her eyes but made no other overt response. There was no way she’ll be friendly towards two strangers! Strangers whose species, rank and lineage she cannot identify. There was no telling when you might offend them. The brunette cocked her head to one side and resumed scrutinizing the Elf. This time the teen had a bored expression on her face. The little girl sighed and turned back to Ascatal.
“Sorry. Vylette doesn’t like new people much.”
Eva jumped down from the log, careful not to kick her neatly folded dress. She definitely didn’t want to get leaves all over them. “She doesn’t really talk. I think. I never heard her.”

Ascatal laughed, He adored children while he had none of his own he enjoyed their company.
" People can be lost as well child, what is your name? " Ascatal said as he looked at the older girl, whom the child near him had called Vylette, she seemed to be looking him over and had an independent nature and the younger girl seemed to be her charge so he said " I am Ascatal, an Elf, of the Noldor Blood, from a Place once called Middle Earth. So are you willing to travel with us until we find the way out of this forest?"
Emmy came out from behind Ascatal's neck where she hid when they approached and flew down close to the younger of the pair and said " Hello my name is Emmy what's yours?"
Emmy felt no danger in these two girls, even though they seemed to be more than met the eye.

I didn't ask for this at all, When my back's against the wall, And my face painted for war, I didn't ask for this at all.Callier slipped closer as the white haired elf spoke, listening intently to his conversation with Zach. Her eyes narrowed at the description. "Phoenix," she whispered, trying to quell the sudden rise of excitement and misery that the name evoked. She turned to the elf, her voice sharp."Where is he?" Her grip on the sword unconsciously tightened, swinging the blade by her side as Zander took a healthy step back, eyeing her warily. Callier ignored him, staring intently at the elf, determined to find her erstwhile friend. Lay down, on the floor, It's over, you don't care anymore. Face yourself, by yourself, No one else here who can try.

Wylofain stared back at Callier, though not as intently, instead of withering into the ground for he was used to such looks.
"I don't know," he insisted, "if I knew I'd be with him rather than strangers I know nothing about. Not that I know anything about him either but-" He broke off, aware that his qualification made him look weak of conviction. He pulled himself up to his full, not yet that impressive height and looked Callier in the eye, "I do not know. Perhaps we could search together?"

------------------------------------------------------------------------ I'm not always like this, it's something I've become A terrible weakness, in my nature, in my blood Save me, oh save me, save me from myself before I hurt somebody else again Zach shot him a half-smile, amused by the young Elf's description of Phoenix (who he also knew of as Eldu from his author). "Yeah, I think I know who you're talking about. He wears heels, doesn't he?" At the word 'heels', Zach glanced down at Tommy's feet, wondering if he was wearing his usual creepers (in a forest? Really, kitten? he wondered).
His gaze shot to Callier when she spoke, her gaze intense enough to send Nightmares back to their shadows should they encounter it. He hadn't realized Callier and Phoenix were so close... Then again, I haven't noticed much else in a while, he thought dryly to himself, turning back to Tommy and resting his chin atop his head.
A flicker of movement caught his eye; Adam had stepped up and was studying him curiously. Zach fought the urge to cringe away - as it was, he lowered his gaze (it's instinctive, he can't fight it) and focused instead on the darker roots growing out of Tommy's head. Adam eventually looked away, over at the Elf and Callier.
"Well I don't think anyone would mind if we went to look for him, except for maybe... what's his name? Eldu?" The rock-star glanced at Zach questioningly, and the rune-caster nodded without looking at him. "He might mind, if your description of him is accurate. But we don't have anything to do, do we?" Adam slipped an arm around Kurt's shoulders, looking around at Cinna and Loki.
Loki shot him a grin. "I could-"
"Shut up, Loki. You won't freeze anything or anyone," Zach said sharply, eyes flickering to the mischievous man, who merely looked innocent.

Stop making the eyes at me, I'll stop making the eyes at you And what it is that surprises me is that I don't really want you to And your shoulders are frozen (cold as the night) Oh, but you're an explosion (you're dynamite)Tommy raised an eyebrow at Zach's look. Creepers were comfortable and coo. Even if he'd nearly been planted on his ass a few times on the uneven, leaf littered terrain already. He leaned back into Zach's warmth, shifting just a little so that the sun couldn't find any bare skin. He was acutely aware of Adam's attention on Zach, weight tensed and ready to spring purely on instinct. The rumble of Zach's voice, vibrating through his back, calmed him a little.
"I would rather search for him alone." Callier's voice was perfectly calm, almost icy in its intent. Tommy frowned, glancing at Adam and then the white haired elf Callier had been talking to. He didn't bother to ask if it was safe for her to wander off alone. She might look like an adolescent angel but Callier up closer and personal and covered in blood was a terror to behold. Well, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor I don't know if you're looking for romance or I don't know what you're looking for I said, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor

Wylofain pulled one of the more persistent leaves from his hair, nervously. He felt he was intruding on the guys but their antics fascinated him; he hadn't realised such a relationship could come about at all let alone work. He couldn't help smiling so he hid his mouth with his hand. The hand was swiftly removed though when Callier spoke again,
"Tough luck, he has a rendez-vous with me and I'd rather him being in one piece for it!"
After a split second's delay, his eyes widened and he clapped his hand back across his mouth. Now he'd blown it. Wylofain glanced round, looking for the others, but they were all deep in conversation or had disappeared altogether. He swallowed.
"Sorry," he spluttered, "but the way you're talking... and the way he acts around you," here he nodded at Zander before looking back at Callier and licking his lips, "you seem capable of ripping peolpe limb from limb and... and that's not very good manners, now is it?"

“Eva!” The little white haired girl answered brightly.
“Everyone calls me that. My real name is really, really long.” She fidgeted. “I forgot it.”
It was then that the kidling noticed the fairy, which was hiding behind Ascatal’s neck. Her purple eyes widened in amazement as she smiled again. She held out her hand so that the pretty little thing could land on her hand. She was tempted to reach out and stroke the butterfly like wings.
“Emmy’s so pwetty.”
Violette shook her head impatiently when Eva wouldn’t stop talking. The teen was tempted to grab the girl and leave, but she wasn’t keen to risk offending the stranger. A skilled fighter should know how to take calculated risks. Mother would definitely kill her if anything were to happen to the princess. Not just mother. The others too.
Tilting her head to one side, the brunette looked at Eva in askance. Taking the hint that her guardian was lost, Eva quickly translated what the man said to her best ability. Still words like “Elf”, “Nodor” and “Middle Earth” had no direct translation. Violette’s frowned deepened for a second after Eva finished. She kicked her feet to and fro as she weighed the possible consequences of accepting or declining. Her feet stopped moving after some time and the girl nodded slowly. There was not much of choice in her opinion.
Violette leaped down from where she sat and walked over to Eva, the little girl’s dress in hand. The teen stretched out her arm to offer Eva back the yellow dress. The six-year-old pouted for moment but didn’t protest when Violette helped her into the dress. The older girl smiled after she finished adjusting the strap of Eva’s dress. Taking the small girl’s hand, the teen walked off pulling Eva along. She walked for a couple of meters then paused. The brunette raised her hand and beckoned to Ascatal and Emmy, indicating that she’d like the Elf and fairy to follow them. The Elf might look like an adult, but there was no way she’d let him be in-charge that easily. Eva, on the other hand, turned around and started chatting to Ascatal now that she was sure Vylette wouldn’t mind.
“Do you like walking in the forest too?” The child asked curiously.
