The nightingale perched on Lovai's shoulder and both Elf and bird watched the branch as it keeled over then came to rest, its twigs making an obstacle course from the ground to way above the muses' heads. The nightingale was unconcerned but Lovai was nervous.
"They do that when someone intentionally uses magic," he said, levelly. He swallowed and dusted the debris off his tunic with shaking hands.
The trees around them began leaning in to see if the threat had been dealt with.
Many miles away, the woodman of Zander's visions was running as fast as he could through the forest. There was a certain tree he had to get to, one which never moved but was deep within the forest. He jumped and caught a bough high above his head, swumg for a moment then pulled himself up and kept running. For him it was easier to travel in the trees than below them and he didn't have much time.

[Eva’s POV]
Eva stopped in her tracks. The Elf sounded serious. It was similar to the tone her parents used when they wanted her to obey. There was another rustle as a wolf-like creature pounced from the bushes. With one clean swipe of sword, Ascatal felled the beast. The little girl watched silently, barely noticing that Violette had gripped her hand tightly before letting go. She continued staring at the dead animal, barely comprehending the danger she was in moments ago.
The kidling looked around as the fairy landed on her shoulder. She smiled, all traces of worry melting away in an instant. “Okay! I think Vylette won’t mind.”
Spinning around, the girl stopped. Her guardian was nowhere to be seen. Worry began flooding back. How could she not notice that Violette had left? Mummy promised that the older girl would be with her today. Eva’s lips trembled slightly as she began sniffing. This was the first time she was alone with people she barely knew.

[Violette’s POV]
Taking advantage of the commotion, Violette gave Eva’s hand one final squeeze then slipped away. Whether the Elf had been right or not, it didn’t change her opinion of him. She still didn’t trust him. It was hard leaving Eva like this since she was disobeying her Mother’s orders, but it was for the best. Being so close to the Elf only irritated her further.
Reaching out, the teen pressed her fingertips against the bark of one of the trees. She closed her eyes and focused. In her mind’s eye, she could see herself vanishing as she phased through it. She opened her eyes again and disappeared. The tree didn’t seem to reject her yet.
Taking a deep breath as she reappeared from behind the tree, Violette walked over to another tree. Would it work? She studied the tree coolly as she continued pressing her fingertips against the bark. If it did, maybe she could check out the other group before finding Eva again.

Emmy heard Eva sniffling and caressed her cheek softly and sang a song of calming in the fairy language.
Ascatal heard and sensed Eva's sorrow and worry and looked around and saw immediately that Violette was missing and would have swore if the child had not been here.
Ascatal quickly accessed what had just transpired , it was obvious from the start the elder girl disliked him for some as of yet unknown reason and that she was in charge of Eva and did not approve of his and Emmy's joining them, he could understand that but he could not approve of Violette's actions , leaving a defenseless child with people she barely knows. he knew from experience that sometime you must put your personal feelings aside for the good of the group.
Ascatal knelt next to Eva so his blue green eyes were on the same level as hers showing the warmth inhis and he saw the worry and fear in hers. and said in a soft warm tone " I apologize for offending Violette and causing her to run away , but I promise you I will stay with until we find her, will you accept me as your protector until then? "
Emmy finished her song then added " You can trust Ascatal , and if any one can find Violette in this forest it is him."
Emmy was quite worried for Eva sensing that nothing like this had ever happened to the young girl and she was keen to make sure Eva found her guardian and got out of this forest safely.

------------------------------------------------------------------------ And it's no surprise when the last light dies And the girl upon the wooden floor Won't be dancing anymore And where do they go when the thrills have gone? And the last song plays down at Babylon Five hundred kids shout what's the deal? It's a very confusing way to feel A cry pulled free as something yanked him back, the touch warmer than he's accustomed to - and he's pulled into a warm embrace. Cinna looked up at Zander, a faint blush coloring his cheeks. "U-um," he stuttered, ducking his head. "T-thank you." His voice was barely a whisper, but he thought - hoped - Zander heard as he hid his flushed cheeks in the taller man's shirt.
Somewhere behind him he was aware of Loki's irritation as he pushed Zach off him - the green-eyed man had lunged to shove him out of the way before they were struck by the branch. Zach groaned, pushing himself up with his hands, face pale with pain. "F_ck," Cinna heard him say, his voice ragged. Peeking around, Cinna couldn't stop the soft breath that escaped as he noticed that the branch was sitting right over Zach's calf.
Adam echoed Zach's sentiment when he saw. "That's going to hurt," he adds unnecessarily, hugging Kurt close to his body like he thinks it'll help. Zach didn't bother shooting him a look; he reached back to try sending the branch off his leg with a rune that flickered and died in the wake of his hurt.
He dropped back after a moment, eyes closed. "Come on, Zach," Cinna whispered.
"Yeah, well, give me a minute," he hissed back, and Cinna felt him try to gather his thoughts to try again.------------------------------------------------------------------------ male | 19 years | 5' 9.5" | human | Max Thieriot Milk And Money © The Fratellis | Carry You Home © James Blunt post format by xDawnie

Stop making the eyes at me, I'll stop making the eyes at you And what it is that surprises me is that I don't really want you to And your shoulders are frozen (cold as the night) Oh, but you're an explosion (you're dynamite)Tommy twisted as Zach left his side almost too fast to follow. Nevertheless, heightened reflexes had him across the clearing as Zach's voice broke the air, heavily laced with pain. He dropped to his knees at the taller man's side, pain echoing through him that had nothing to do with his own body but was making it impossible to stand anyway. Adam's voice washed over him as everything snapped abruptly back into focus.
"Thank you so much for your f*cking insight." He snapped, fumbling for Zach's hand. Finding it after a moment he took a deep breath, forcing himself to calm down."Sorry. I'm sorry Adam." He closed his eyes, squeezing Zach's hand. "Hang on baby, just gimme a second." Well, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor I don't know if you're looking for romance or I don't know what you're looking for I said, I bet that you look good on the dancefloor
