Oooh, something's changed on my UCAS track.... oh, offer from York -suddenly no longer excited-
-frowns- That's good isn't it?
Well yes...
Buuut?
But I don't really want to go to the University of York.
-snorts- Getting a bit blazé, aren't we?
[don't get me wrong; I adore the town but the uni's poor]

It was so cold suddenly this morning, Eldu! Frost everywhere and... Eldu?
-not there-
Could have swarn I heard him...
-comes through the door, looking like one of the late C18th French aristocracy-
-follows in his 'home' clothes, covered in snow-
-has snow piled up in the brim of his hat- I hate it when winter does that.
Does what?
Comes all at once like the flick of a switch. -sighs-
I nearly got stranded.
Aye; and it wasn't by your violition that we got you back here so you can get home.
-looks at shoes- I've only been to your world twice-
And you won't be going a third time if you don't get a more positive attitude to your own home!
-sighs- I don't suppose you want to help me finish a fanfic then, Eldu.
-snaps- You suppose right. -doesn't like snow-

Hey.
Oh, hi. How are things?
-perches on bed and hugs his knees- Tad [Dad]'s off again, I don't know how long for. -sighs- And for you?
Meh, I'm having minor computer problems.
Want me to have a look?
I don't trust you with my laptop...
-hurt- I shan't break it!
I know! I know you're good with computers but I don't trust you not to do something elicit while fixing it.
... Fair enough. Where's Eldu?
Still dealing with yesterday's snowfall I think. I mean I know his halls are underground but I imagine an icy bridge is the last thing the Elves need.
-nods-
-smiles- Either that or he's lying to me and he's actually out skating on the river.
-smiles too-
-warily- Do you... do you still feel the same about... about him?
-jerks a nod- But I feel like that for other people now so I don't know what it is.
-silence-
If it goes away, should I tell him?
I don't know; he's very conservative...
But I want to tell someone! You're supposed to tell your family about things like this and Tad's never around for me to tell him and Eldu's the next closest I've got. I haven't got any uncles or aunts.
Even so... seeing as he still might be involved I'd sit on it for a while longer... especially if you're not sure about it.
Urgh, you're right: how could he understand anyway? I don't know what I feel right now. -looks miserable-
-chews lower lip- Come here; I'll introduce you to Young Dracula. It always cheers me up, anyway.

I think I've been watching too much Young Dracula. Why do I think this? Well I'm writing a fanfic at the moment (or rather trying to; it's not going very well) and Thranduil's suddenly talking like Keith-Lee Castle's Count... this is especially concerning becausebPhoenix is sat in my crown chair jabbering on about... actually I have no idea what he's talking about.
Eldu..? What are you talking about?
-hurt- Well if you aren't going to listen to my concerns that's the last time I'm listening to yours! -flounces off-
Eldu... no wait!
-gone-
And the moral of the story is; don't spend the whole day writing in French, then watch Young Dracula to unwind and then try to write fanfic. It just doesn't work. -bits lip- -hopes Phoenix was joking about the not listening to her problems thing; uses him as an anger release-

-rereading Eli's English coursework (the nicer essay to tackle-
-amused- There's some serious Thingol bashing going on in this thing!
>.< I know! I love him really, even though he's a bit of a pillock.
I'll tell you something though.
What?
If this is your reaction to how Thingol regarded his daughter, I'm glad I have a son.

Guys?
Maey?
Mae, hiril?
Maeee?
Mae?
Errr... okay so I'm kicking anyone not from Arda out of the thread-
What are you still doing here then?
Ada!
Eldu!
Well apart from me obviously! Let me reword this; Phoenix is the only muse who'll be quoted here and, as people who sometimes follow him when he visits me, the rest of you would be quoted here as well.
So basically, the gap-filling muses have to stick to the muse thread as Eli and I agreed.
-nods-
There are others?
It's necessary-
It seems I don't know everything Eli requires help with when writing, so first Lovai came and now a vampire named Louis is filling in the Dark Fantasy parts of her bunnies. At first I was furious but I can't help her with everything.
-to Eli- Eldu's still first call, right?
He's the only one I consider my equal.
-closes one eye- I am above you, Eli.
-grins- Fine! You're the one I'm closest to.
But we, as Eldu's friends and family, will still be recorded here, right?
I don't know why you're so concerned, Chaffinch, you haven't been quoted here for months!

-hears banging and crashing from behind her- Phoenix, what are you doing?
...Nothing...
Mhmm..? Where's this bunny I need for Raina, then?
I'm... chasing after it!
Nice try, Eldu. -turns round- -splutters-
Don't laugh! -is in a suit looking very peeved off-
What... what's this?!
It was Lovai's idea!
-says nothing-
But it's that blasted vampire's fault. Lovai said, 'If Louis, form the end of the C18th, can pull off a suit, so can you! So... this happened. -stretches out arms-
But Louis can't pull it off and neither can you. And why did you go along with it anyway?
Lovai is very persistant... and has eyes you can drown in.
-can't argue with that- Did he pull the puppy-eyes look on you?
-nods-
Yup, you were a gonner. You don't look too bad, actually. It's not so much the suit as its masculinity.
-eyes flash- What's that?
Oh come off the defencive, Eldu. You and I both know that the more feminine, flamboyant clothes suit you.
True.
So why are you here in such unflattering attire?
I really was chasing a bunny. It's in your wardrobe. -points-
-looks- So there is. I can't be asked to write it now though.
Now, whether you'll excuse me or not, I'm off to change clothes and burn this foul outfit.
-snorts- Go, please. Get out of my sight, you murderer of fashion. XD
-glares- -doesn't like not looking stunning-

[on the way back from the shops it begins to pour with rain]
Aaaargh! My brolly is haing no effect whatsoever!
-spins round, hair and clothes sopping wet-
-has to shout over the noise of the rain- PHOENIX! HOW THE HELL ARE YOU IN A GOOD MOOD? THE RAIN'S FREEZING!
-chants- Elio! Elio! Pathro Anduin! Pathro eithel. Tolo, ros, anno ammen cuil! [Rain! [imperative] Rain! Fill the Anduin, fill the well. Come, rain, give us life!]
...Great.

Eldu?
Mae?
What would you say you are?
?
As in, which race of Elves?
Sindar, of course. You know that!
Yeah yeah yeah, but in the beginning the Sindar were the Teleri, right?
Oh, you've got to that bit then?
Yes, and it's confusing me.
-bites lip- I'm not an expert on our ancinet history; I tend to disregard the time before the Eldar and Noldor went to Valinor. Elves were Elves were Elves in those days.
Yes but-
Mae! The Sindar were part of the group called the Teleri.
And were also known as the Eldar of Beleriand..?
... What's this now?
Look there: '[Thingol's] people were all the Eldar of Belerians; the Sindar they were named, the Grey-elves, the Elves of the Twilight'.
-nods- Yes, that's right; we are all of those things. Though now all the names have been dropped bar Sindar.
What about Olwë's lot?
Hmm?
Olwë, Phoenix!
Oh right; yes his lot were Sindar too, though a slightly different type -sees Eli's quizzical look- Well they got that bit further than us.
-groans in frustration-
-appeasingly- But yes, they were Sindar, just not Eluwaith.
Urgh, this is so confusing. So Elwë and Finwë were..?
Friends.
But Finwë is Fëanor's father! Thingol hated Fëanor and all the Noldor!
Yes but you could argue that the first Elves had no race. They were just Quendi.
So Thingol wasn't Sindar?
According to that reasoning, no, bt he was the King of the Sindar, in the same way that I'm Sindar but a Silvan king. Though we all considered him Sinda. Look, it says lower down: 'Thingol was great among the Eldar, for he alone of the Sindar had seen with his own eyes the Trees in the day of their flowering.' And here 'he was of Úmanyar [though] not accounted among the Moriquendi'. Actually -skim reading- this is a pretty good summary. Some things that could have been left out, some things that have been but no, I commend him.
But it's so confusing! There seems to be no difference between races!
That's because there were no differences then! They came later after the Elves had learnt of the world. Aww, poor Adaneth; her head doth protest, methinks.
-has head in hands; has brain overload-
EDIT: [some time later]
-sat at desk with her laptop on and The Silmarillion balanced on the desk infront of it- So the Sindar who waited for Thingol are also called the Eglath?
-lying on his back on my bed with one arm covering his eyes- Mhmm
This is getting rediculous

-looks out the window- For goodness sake! Why is it doing this again?!
Man?
The snow! It's really fine so it's not that thick but if it neither stops nor gets heavier I'll havr to treck into school in this tomorrow... again.
-looks outside- -flatly- I agree; that isn't snow.
Thank you!
more like Manwë's dandruff.
... -giggles-

[can't believe it was snowing at the beginning of the month; I'm in a skirt now. anyway] Eldu? Come see this: [Lee Pace's English accent in Ceremony]-appears- -looks very tired- -wearing hoes and floor length, opaque nightgown with lacey cuffs etc which makes it very hard to take him seriously- -in bad mood- I was just about to sleep for the first time in 2 weeks you realise. -has spazzed bodyclock--winces- Sorry, but look what I just found. -plays featurette- -blinks- What? It's L- I know who it is!! But what does he sound like?Well personally I think he sounds like Ben Fogle but that's just me. Why is he talking like that? That's his English accent. -stops dead and stares- His what?-timidly- His... English accent... -whirls away, biting finger- You mean there's a chance he'll speak like that in The Hobbit?Well they'll probably recoach him- Mae egor law?!Er.... yes. -swears- -pulls hair away from forehead aggitatedly- But that's wrong! He sounds so clipped! So posh! Completely and utterly...I think you're over reacting a little. -groans-At least the pitch isn't supersonic this time. (Actually it's really rather low) -half screeches- urgh! -storms out-...remind me never to wake him up again >.<

I'd forgotten which of Fëanor's sons captured and raised Elrond and Elros so I worked out that it was Maglor by brain power alone!!! -does victory dance-
I am finding it incredibly difficult to care.
[EDIT] because I don't want this to be a whole new post I'm adding it on here. From now on Phoenix's replies will be in this red[990000] to make them easier to read.

Watching and listening to Phoenix trying to sing along to How Strange ~ Emilie Autumn which is a very fast song... He can sing it fine (though an octave lower... though that's still pretty high for a guy O.o) at half speed but he doesn't know the words yet and full speed... well... [words in square brackets are the ones he didn't say]
- basically sight-reading [he has the lyrics up on screen]-
When you are sleeping do you dream of me How strange, how strange 'Cause you know what they say About the visions in your head and what they mean How strange, how strange That you should feel that way
I'm not living [in an] ordinary world 'Cause I'm not your ordinary [good girl] And I don't believe in [playing like I] know that game [You're not heading for an ordinary love] ['Cause I'm not the one that you should think of] [And I'm not a prize that you can claim]
[You know I think it's] strange [Ju]st a little bit deranged [That you] think I'm [gonna] change to make you happy If you can [tell me why] I should wait around then I May be com[ing down] [But until then this means] You can see me in your dreams
>.< I give up
He can't read the Roman alphabet fast enough to keep up with her. He so cute.
I'm not 'cute'
He so cuuuuute!
